"Nice X-wing, the wing lever function and location is a nifty setup. The larger engines are cool. Always have to add some of the extras and personalize a bit, the engines actually seemed a tad short so added some length to the engines with white cylinders in the front to get them past the wings and moved the rear assembly back with dark gray bricks and some silver ingots to keep the balanced look."
"Awesome set, solid, functional, and goes great with the Tie Striker. Personalized a bit more from the lack of fine details, kept me busy for a couple weeks! Little surprised on how many details Lego left out or actually changed not to match any of the ships.... The curved front fuselage, odd looking wedge plate front cows with the yellow grill plate sticking up like a pimple, the two piece looking cockpit (and it's a custom cockpit piece for this set?). Short wobbly engines, short front wings and then those upside down 4x4 dark gray wedge plates underneath on the front sides? All in all though, that is what keeps me addicted to Lego Star Wars models! The Legos just look great for depicting the ships! Looking forward to an awesome USC set from Lego! Star Bricks, Mirko Soppelsa, has already done one that is a pretty decent looking replica and posted pictures on the web!"
"Nice set, almost missed this one, didn't realize this was a flying ship till I saw the movie. Awesome set to work and model. Thought it looked short to the movie, added 6x in length to the top fore deck, 6 front in the frame, four front on the inside floor compartment and 2 longer on the ramp, 4 longer in the side panels, added 2 out the aft deck for a total of 8 long on the top deck. Added rear detail under the ion engines, and moved the front wheels forward 4, extended the ramp rod 4 longer, extended the pull handle, added bushings on the ramp rod to limit the travel and prevent it from dropping down loose. Added over a hundred plus misc. pieces, the extra pieces and kept all the original Legos in it too. Added 4 old school mini figures, two storm trooper sergeants with back gear and shoulder capes, one orange, one black. 1 regular tan head storm Trooper and a Tie Pilot, for a total now of 9 mini figures. Hours of fun!!!"
"Cool set, I have to have all the fighter ships! :). Nice wing construction, rear service hold, and cockpit. Noticed while watching Rouge One the ship had a rear top center solar panel and was more bulky on the underbelly, had to throw some Lego's at it! Messed one sticker up when I first got the set and got a replacement sticker sheet from Lego, ended up adding tiles and applying two sets of stickers, first time I ever added stickers!. Added forward guns. Removed the rear fuselage cones and replaced with the top solar panel, mounts and blue ion engine tiles. Built up the wing struts, Moved the shooters back one and raised one plate in height so it didn't drag and scratch the shooters. Legos are Priceless! Hours of sculpturing on this one, I always have to try and use the extras and add a few random pieces!"
"Cool set, more structural, weighs less than first release, nice spoiler action, and flaps. Thought the canopy looked large, modified a bit to Star Wars movie version, added trim around windows with the sticker sheet borders and crated additional window, moved the orange tiles around on the nose to the spoilers."
"Great set, this one will keep you busy! Added several sets, a hoth base I thru together early on from loose legos, AT-AT, X-wing, AT-ST. Filled the extra mounts with a large custom gun, weather vane. Enlarged Wampa cave like another post, enlarged the Snowspeeder 2 wide 4 long to scale it up a tad. This one makes you rearrange and throw legos at it! Still keeping me occupied!"
"Thought this looked great to add with displaying with the 75098 Assault on Hoth and 10178 AT-AT. Looks nice, Lego has really steped up their detail, and it is like Legos and Star Wars were meant for each other.
But.....What a mistake, and disappointment. scale is way too large, legs have one tight movement but cannot stand out of design position. So large it doesn't scale to any play set, guess we have a new collection scale going on.
If you want an AT-ST to put with these sets recommend the old 7127 AT-ST, scale is good with dated detail or... find a loose AT-ST from 8038 Battle of Endor which has great detail and decent scale."
