"Received in this very lovely Lego set the other day from Lego.com. Not realising VIP members could order this early I placed it soon after I found out. Now as a James Bond fan, this was a must have for me to add to the collection. The box itself is gorgeous and definitely a collectors item. The License to Build card you get with it is cool but kind of disappointed by your name actually not being printed on you have to do that yourself. Still cool free item. Now onto the main attraction and that's the car. The building process took about a day I would say. I took some breaks in between and even really took my time because I will say as fun as this build was it was a bit challenging. This is definitely for the more experienced Lego builders and is more of a collectors item too. The directions were outstanding with sweet James Bond information and about the car itself. They are detailed but can get a bit confusing if not paying attention. That is the one thing about this set and I mean this "Please be careful and pay attention while building." One slip up and you will basically have to redo from scratch and that's always going to be a headache. For me I did think I slipped on one of the key components to the car and I may need to go back and rebuild the car. So this is a warning be careful and read carefully and pay attention. The car itself looks like the actual car which is astonishing. All the details within the outside and even inside are A+. I love the little details especially within the dashboard and engine. Just superb. The cool little features like the turntable license plates are cool. The gun turret feature is really cool too. In order to activate them you pull on the stick shift within the car and it turns the headlights into dangerous firepower. The bullet proof back is really nice touch as is the trunk, The bladed wheels is another very fine detail with extensions. Oh and the wheels are a thing of beauty. Just impressed by how much great detail and care went into the car. Now onto the main attraction for playability and sadly this is where mine went wrong. The ejector seat. You pull out a tab hidden within the bumper of the car and it supposed to fling the seat out and open the top. MIne sadly cannot do that something is wrong and I think I missed a key step. My set I will admit had problems with pieces not being in the right bag so that was a headache of its own. The ejector seat is a nice feature and do wish it actually worked. Other then that the set is fantastic and highly worth the price tag of $149. People complaining about that price point is ridiculous for what you get it's highly worth it and a great display piece. This is for the adult collectors not for the younger builders. The build is satisfying with a bunch of hair pulling moments but I really did enjoy the build even with my problems. I highly recommend it for you collectors out there and James Bond fans. It's a good challenging build. It's a slick piece and Lego did an incredible job. Shout out to the designer of this set!-Ryan"
"Here's my review on the Indoraptor Lockwood Estate Set. It's the pricier set within the new Lego Jurassic World sets. I got this as a gift from my girlfriend which i'm thanking her here for sure. The set itself took me really a day in a half. I've been busy with things so I had to pause and take breaks often but if I count up the hours total it's really 5 hours. The build itself can get tricky but isn't bad. It can be tedious with a lot of the set using the same bricks and being exactly the same. But I found it to be enjoyable because in pictures it really doesn't do justice it's a pretty big set. The details within the inside and even outside are fantastic my only complaint is the inner areas do not have enough leg room to really put minifigures and I wish that would have been extended but other then that the areas within the inside of the Estate are really well done. Minifigs are great and love the new designed Owen and Claire. Indortaptor is the highlight of the set since it's the only set you can get the creature in. Blue is the biggest disappointment. The mold itself is the same as previous Raptor molds but the coloring is super inaccurate. The first release Blue is way better in terms of coloring to the film. That's my biggest complaint besides the inner areas needing to be extended. Price isn't terrible for piece count. I do recommend it for you Lego fans and Jurassic World fans. The set isn't cheap at $129 so this may not be for the average kid unless a super fan of Legos and want a little bit of a challenge. Too me it wasn't hard but it does have it's parts where if you mess up it will set you back. I love it and is actually my favorite set within the new released Jurassic World sets for sure."
"I picked this up on sale at Walmart for about $34 total which isn't bad considering the piece count. For me the main attraction to this set were the MiniFigs and the Raptor which all are very well done. The playability within this set well... A lot to be desired due to it being small and compacting 3 different scenes into one I honestly would have liked if the set was bigger and gave more room to build the kitchen. A Dennis Nedry would have been a great inclusion along with another Raptor. The build wasn't hard very easy. Overall it was a must since there hasn't been JP1 Lego sets yet and it was worth it for me. The Young Builders will like this set for what it is while us Adult Collectors will not like it as much but find desire in the Minifigs and the Raptor. I still recommend it even if I don't find the set super enjoyable but wow finally we got a Alan Grant Minifig!"
"So I picked this set up at Target for the retail price of $79.99 in anticipation of the movie. I was going to get the Lockwood Set but settled upon this one for the fact there hasn't been a Carnotaurus Lego Figure at all. It took me about 3 hours since I like to take my time and has a decent amount of pieces within the set I believe it has 577. For the price I wasn't sure it seemed a bit small especially looking at the box but after building it I think it can equate piece for piece nicely especially with new molds being used for the new Dino. It wasn't a hard build but there are some areas within building the damaged down gyrosphere environment that could be difficult for some of the younger Lego builders. The detail on the environment is super nice that was the most pleasing build for me within the set. All the new fern pieces and little egg nest it's just super cool. Very nice job Lego I also like the playability of the set especially within the vehicle you get. It's about the same from the earlier Jurassic World set that was release in 2015. It's similar but varies a tad to be new but structure wise it's the same. I like that you can take off the back top to get to some neat little pieces. The gyrosphere is fun to play with and the lava spill on the top of the tree is really cool. The new minifigs I really like a lot. Overall it's a nice set if you love the Jurassic films or Lego's in general. Younger Lego builders will certainly enjoy the build and the play value is really high. Many things you can do with it. For collectors it may not be a collector piece completely but if you can build it within a Lego structure or set it up on display with other sets from the movie it'll look nice. I recommend it highly and I do think it's worth the money I was definitely skeptical if it would be worth that $79.99 plus tax.-Ryan"
"This review is a bit late but I definitely wanted to post my thoughts on it. I bought this set off Lego.com when it first went up for order. I thought it be a really nice addition to my Christmas Tree and I knew my Girlfriend would love it. First off the price is pretty steep for what you get within the set and second is the size. It's a really small set with not a lot too it. It took me about 3 hours. I know most can complete this set faster but even for the biggest and the smallest sets I try to take the time to really appreciate the build instead of rushing through.I honestly could have took longer but I just breezed through it while watching Christmas movies just to get to the end and see the outcome. There were some nice parts you had to build like the spinning tree and the little toys were very nice. I also like the design of the train itself very festive. You get some nice MiniFigs too. I'm just a little underwhelmed with the cost. If it was $20 or $30 less it would have been a bump in ratings. The piece count really doesn't seem to be there even though it's over 700. It's just a tad small. The inclusion of the tracks is nice though. Overall since the day I built the set it has looked really cool under the tree I just wish it was a bit cheaper and bigger with some added stuff. The bench isn't enough. There is another set that goes with this which looks cool but will hold off for now. -Ryan"
"I picked up this set while I was on vacation in Disney World. I went into the Lego Shop in Disney Springs and finally got it. Out of all the sets from Solo this and the new Falcon really caught my attention but due to space in the collection and of course luggage I purchased this set and have no regrets. The building process for the speeder is fairly simple only took me about 2 hours if I recall. The main building is the speeder which doesn't have much complexity to the build but is a really enjoyable one at that because of the design. By the end of it you really start loving it. I love that you can see the engine and store tools away. The added free lance wheels for play mobility for those young kids can appreciate it while swooshing this set around on the floor. Very well done. The Han and Qi'ra MiniFigs are very nice and the added Star Wars creature is very cool. Overall it's a really nice set especially for $30. I think the piece count and 3 figs you get are worth the purchase for a young fan of Star Wars or a Collector. Fits perfectly in the collection. If you haven't seen the movie by the way you need to!-Ryan"
