"After my grandmother spoiled me yet again with a late Christmas present, I was ecstatic to put it together! For some reason, it took 7 days to arrive. Which is odd because a set my grandma ordered for me during the Christmas buying spree took only 3 days to arrive. First floor: amazing! Though, I don’t think that it looks well amidst the other buildings. They should put it as the first of the new breed of creator experts. I personally love the 50s style. The juke box was awesome! Every detail was so accurate! Though, the loose accessories were odd. I liked the jumper plates in the resteraunt and on the side walk! I love the colors teal and salmon! The technic was a bit difficult for the facade. Second floor: as a student in taekwondoe, I know this is accurate, the bench press, the working punching bag, the boxing rind, the water dispenser, all wonderful! Though, the jukebox like facade, (which I like the juke box looking facade) is hard to attach. And where they could’ve put corner plates, they put 2x1’s and 1x1’s instead! Why? Third floor: my dad, working in media, loved this room. The clever use of the rack and pinion gears as sound proofing and the up side down steering wheel as the mricorphone looks accurate! The sound equipment is super accurate! The stair was a bit too fiddly. The car: no body has given due praise to the car, whic is styled after elvis’ pink Cadillac, the fact that they fir three abreast seating in a six stud wide car is awesome! The back seat is a nice touch, and the gear shift is something I always include in my car models and is a wonderful feature! But, I really like the exaggerated look of the fins! All in all, awesome!"
"First off, I got this set with my birthday money. And it was very good. It comes with a great amount of pieces for the price. And some rare colors to! And the exclusive 60th anniversary tile too! I really like the builds it had. Particularly, the rocket car! All and all, I would give this a thumbs up ! Good job LEGO!"
"My grandma spoils us every Christmas. And, as an early Christmas present, she got this for me. And I love it! (Though I had to organize my room before I built it) First floor: All the decorations and the Easter eggs hidden in the signage is great! (Intstruction booklet comes with ninjago language translator) and the fish market stall has a little taxi pay phone. Which inspired me to make a taxi that can drive and fly/swim using propellers you can switch out the wheels for. The crowbars as the shade is a genius parts usage! Sweep’s little place was a lottle lacking in detail. But it was enough. The apartment was nice with a mat and a dresser and a TV. The tea room was great as well! The poster was a nice and the tea pot is a great piece! The little bay in back was nicely detailed, with darker pieces under the water pieces to add depth. The elavator only needs a bit of pressure to make it go up and down. The details on the first floor give it that ancient look. Second floor: First off, I’d like to point out the film poster display and how it references other LEGO stuff like the shadow of ronin LEGO game, the old and unpopular galidor theme, and the return of the brick separator poster. The comic shop has references to many other LEGO themes such as the “believe poster” from the LEGO movie. And the comic books. The ATM is really clever and the crab cooker is like magic! The old construction site had a nice but delicate cherry blossom tree. (Incorrectly called a Bonsai tree) the fashion shop is very nice with the new colored LEGO pieces. Third floor: The sushi place has a nice shape and little bathroom in it. I never got why it didn’t include the owner of the sushi place and included a chef’s hat and a moustache underneath it, was i supposed to take his brother (the crab cooker guy) and also use him as the shushi guy? That doesn’t make sense. Anyway. The sushi conveyor belt is clever. But, the pufferfish balloon was, in the movie, a floating resteraunt. Misako and Lloyd’s apartment was a bit too small but it utilized space nicely. Minifigures: were great except for the exclusion of the sushi shop owner, the fact that Misako didn’t have the right clothing on, and Ivy Walker’s minifigure had the wrong face and needed a fabric skirt instead of a printed one. But overall, I would recommend this whole heartedly!"
"great set i got it for my birthday in 2014 i loved the finished build the cockpit is awesome with room for commander gree and another clone trooper the cannon up top is huge and very interesting and its bigger than it looks in the pictures i only wish it came with 2 more clone troopers its a shame it was retired"
"my grandma promised that when we moved into our new house we could pick out a BIG LEGO set my younger brother was waiting intently to get this when he built this it was not a dissapointment! it is HUGE though quite mobile (with two people to carry it!) the only problem is the wheels get off the rim to easily and the gondola's drag against the bottom other than that it is awesome!"
"i brought this for my younger brother for christmas he really liked the set his favorite thing about it is all yhe functions this small set can do! it has great stickers not to little not to much and includes a special 3 hole peice celebrating 40 years of lego technic!"
"my brother got this for himself i play with it two. its nice with good minifigures and a great model, one of my favorite things was the minifigures helmets though the only thing i didn't like was in the cockpit, how the controls wasn't a lever but a 2x2 peice with a small bar sticking up which is commonly used as a trailer hitch"
"my little brother got this for christmas and i like playing with it its a great set the interior is great! the car dealership can hold both cars and it has cool sliding doors! the service station is also cool nice interior for a small building like that but the sliding doors on the car dealership go through the service station which is kind of weird but it has a nice lift! i love the tram and the coffe store and the flatbed truck! and the lego truck! the lego store is the most detailed with cool statues and the building number is when lego was founded 1932!"
"my little brother got this for me for christmas it was the first thing i built that day! its great i like the fry peice thats now in yellow i also like the scooter and the 1/4 pizza peices! i like how the female mini figure can be a costumer or a employee this set goes great with the city center!"
"i can agree that the wampa cave is small and its missing princess leia but it has other great things like the slide doors are great! theres a lot of mini figures! and a lookout tower and two new mini figures toryn farr and R3-A2 and a new k-3po you can move the turrets around and the p-tower laser guns and the smaller guns for the mini figures and a new ion cannon you can also fit mini figures in the turrets and the ion cannon i LOVE the snowspeeder and wes janson and wedge antilles! a awesome set!"
