"To be honest I wasn't a 100% about buying this one, but decided to go for it, with a little encouragement from my partner who loves Disney, first off I really liked the box and packaging, this is the second Ideas peace that has a nice good quality box. once opened I was surprised by the coloured lego peaces but it soon became clear that this was to build up the base of the boat having read another review before building I was mindful to take care when building the mechanism that makes the chimneys go up and down, as I found that the first lifted and dropped easily but the second got stuck after rolling the boat back and fourth before continuing with the build process the peaces settled in and where able to raise and fall without issue.
All in all it was a simple and quick build not to big or small, seems very sturdy I think my favourite peace are the minifigures simple colour but very classy."
"Wow I got this on early VIP release but then didn't have time to build it straight away, after a staring at the box for what seemed like ages, I finally found the time to get stuck into this build, I love big lego boxes that have bags and bags of lego bricks, and a reassuringly fat manual, this one didn't disappoint.
To begin with, building the base felt a little like building the death star, but then rapidly changes and felt like I was building Ninjago City again, their is actually a sticker saying visit Ninjago city which I thought was pretty cool, the constant changes keeps you smiling thought the entire building no time to stop for a break, just keep building, its very modular and just keeps getting better and better and more interesting.
Having previously purchased the architecture statue of liberty I was interested to see how the fallen liberty would turn out and was staggered by the detail when finished, I did make one mistake somewhere while building some of the framework behind the green walling and had to reverse and make use of the brick separator and sadly have 1 x 2x4 and 1 x 2x2 plates left over but for the life of me cannot see where they go and to the credit of the designers the build is holding strong.
I agree with the other reviews that this is one of the greatest lego builds to-date, if you built Ninjago Docks or City you will love this.
As its a 360 building every angle has something interesting, and just has an intriguing wow factor, so much so my partner said we should display it in the living room for a while (something usually reserved for lamps and vases and other non lego stuff), which again is a massive endorsement of this wonderful peace, i'm not sure how long she will allow it for, but we will bask in the glory and pride of place for now."
"I couldn't resist this set, I was brought up on the the Flintstones so to get a Lego set is fantastic, the box alone is great, looks good and you can open it without damaging it, their are 6 numbered bags and the build is simple enough but fun, love the new colours brick separator as well. The finish is so nice it almost looks real I think thats thanks to Andrew Clarks use of the SNOT technique, no stickers in this pack just nicely printed tiles. the 4 mini figures all look good and Fred's car is fantastic really clever design especially the wheels it looks so good and runs smooth.
The Flintstones house although small has some nice details like the leopard print curtains, TV & lamp, the removable roof is clever and holds together well even at the angle its on, and the outside rocky detail is a nice touch.
All in all i'm really impressed with this set it just looks so good!"
"When I first saw The Lego Movie 2 set's online, a few of them took my eye, I love crazy thrown together style, Heavy Metal MotorTrike seemed like a cool one to get and it doesn't disappoint the bricks came in 4 numbered bags and has a crazy ship/bike build feel, it took less than an hour to build and was very easy but really good fun, I really love the big front wheel and blade detail.
The 2 x minifigs are nice, Benny being the best, love the retro break in the helmet (takes me back) and his replacement arm, I'm not sure about Sweet Mayhem yet but the quality and detail are very good.
Value for money, I think this set is well priced, the box is eye catching instructions are easy to follow and the finished set is a good size with great playability (if your a kid) and will also look good on any shelf."
"Saw this was a USC model and thought it looked nice and price seemed reasonable as well.
Build process is pretty simple, a little repetitive but that didn't take anything away from the build process, it was a nice model to build up essentially a rounded square :) but the end result is worth it.
The wobbly head effect is fantastic and really cleaver as you start on that part very early in the build and then building everything around the middle.
It's a real solid model, so i'm not worried if it gets knocked and the movable parts (lighter) is a nice touch."
"I bought this as a little supplement to my main lego order, thought it would be cool ;-)
Weirdly i've never used silicon ice cube holders before, I initially suspected the figures might crack but the silicon design stops this, the figures come out perfectly and easily, they look great in your glass.
Just a shame there are only 6 We're using 4 in a glass so i think i will buy more, ive just done another shop lego order and ordered the brick ice cube tray and the ice lolly tray, so I look forward to trying them as well."
