I'm in Love
" First off, I'd like to congratulate The Lego Group, and the designer of the model, Olav Krøigaard, for creating what has become my favorite Lego set that I own. A job well done.
I first saw this set built in display on a trip to the Lego Store, and I was immediately mesmerized by it. The shape of the cockpit, the sheer scale, it was amazing. When I finally received this set for my birthday, I was overjoyed. Getting into the building process, I was blown away by the amazing amount of detail put into the set. The cockpit has a seat, controls, and stickers placed on the internal paneling. The overall build took me about 6 and a half hours, over two nights. Building this model, my excited did not lower one bit; I had the Star Wars soundtrack on my speaker the entire time, and every portion of the build was fun and interesting.
I will say what others have, that the ship is completely symmetrical. This detracted only slightly from the building experience, as I simply built the symmetrical parts in tandem.
The cockpit was a joy to build; it is so accurate and beautiful that I had to stop occasionally to simply marvel at it. The wings as well were extremely interesting, using interesting building techniques, such that they feel sturdy and light at the same time. My favorite part of the build was putting the wings on the cockpit, feeling so satisfied with what I had built. A truly amazing Lego experience.
The exclusive minifig that came with the set is stunning; the arm printing is gorgeous and the helmet is incredibly detailed.
I don't have any cons for this set; for the size of the elements the price is understandable, and the beauty of the model makes up for it, in my mind.
A truly amazing Lego set, artfully designed, beautiful in its final form. I would highly recommend to anyone who loves Star Wars and Lego, this is truly an incredible set. "

Great Value, Great Set
" I received this building set as a gift for Christmas, and was quite pleased, as after watching Rogue One I found the Hovertank to be an awesome addition to the Star Wars Universe. I believe this set to be good value, coming in at just under 7 cents per piece, and was certainly fun to build, let alone play with. I am a toy photographer, and have found that the set makes for an excellent set piece. I'll cover the Pros and Cons of the set below.
PROS
Figures are awesome, well detailed
Looks accurate to the movie
Rolls smoothly on surfaces
Can house the tank commander and driver
Comes with storage crate
Comes with a main character from the film
More than enough blasters for you or your youngster's arsenal
CONS
The interior of the tank is a tad bare, with internal, non-grey bricks visible and no control panels or interior clips for holding blasters.
The rear of the tank, sides of the cockpit, and back of the cockpit are all also lacking in detail, and tan plates are visible from the rear, giving an odd look, if you care about that.
The hatches are also very large, and the top one looks odd if you leave it open to allow the commander to peak out.
Other than the above mentioned flaws, the set looks great, is fun to play with, and if you add in more stormtroopers, is very fun to recreate scenes from Rogue One with. I would recommend this set for all ages, with it having the ease of building for children, but also looking great for adults who wish to display it. For the price, you get a great looking model, and some awesome minifigures. This set gets a 4.5/5 rating. "
