LEGO & VW together at last!
" I'm a huge LEGO fan, and an even bigger Volkswagen fan, so let's just say I was more then a little excited when I first saw this model on the LEGO website.
This is a great model. The attention to detail is fantastic and it's an excellent/faithful reproduction of the original VW bus. Apart from the great job in the overall design of the model, it's the small things that make this such a great build. The lava lap, the seat that folds down into a bed, the curtains, and my favourite part, the "Make LEGO models not War" t-shirt.
I would agree with some of the other reviews that the roof structure could have been more stable, but it's such a minor issue that it's not that big of a deal and overall it's a very sturdy model.
My only other "complaint" is that now I have to fend of my father, who used to own one of the original vans, because he wants to take it home for himself.
Great design. Great model. Great tribute to all things VW!
