Very unattractive end result, hideously overpriced
" My headline sums up my feelings for this model pretty succinctly. I don't think buildable figures translate well for characters without masks, and this Chewbacca figure is proof enough of that. The joints and face and overall look is just somewhat disturbing to look at for some reason, and as far as the build itself goes it is nothing new or groundbreaking. From my point of view that makes this a definite miss, because you can have a comparable build experience with a masked figure, and have a displayable product that looks much better. For the cost of Chewie you could probably even grab two! Like I mentioned before, it's more of the medium that doesn't lend itself well to this character, rather than the designer's talent or attempt. Even for a kiddo I would skip Chewie "

Blast from the past
" I can still remember renting Star Wars Battlefront from my local Blockbuster way back in 2005. My friend Kevin and I stayed up all night playing that game and living out all our geek fantasies on Geonosis and Rhen Var. There were so many great vehicles to drive, but I can remember always hopping in a Sabre tank with Kevin and grinding droids to bits.
Years went by and I grew out of all of that (Lego included) but it was just recently that I went to a local store and saw this tank hanging out on a shelf. Man the memories it brought back, for $25 I thought it was a steal. The tank is designed so well, with all of the right angles and aesthetics I remembered fondly, and some interesting hidden features as well. The characters included are likewise excellent, with a blue Twi'lek Jedi that briefly appeared in Episode 3, and a Phase 2 Gunner that took me back to the old Galactic Conquest mode of BF2.
All in all this was a great trip down memory lane, and gave me a good excuse to call up my buddy and reminisce about being a kid and camping spawns. Great effort Lego "

Great figures and A-Wing, but value is lacking
" I haven't built a Lego A-Wing since the original way back in the day, and this set is certainly an improvement over 7134! The figures are excellent with interesting printing and Lando in particular is captured very well.
The A-Wing itself looks very nice with the shaping of the body and the tilted engine fins, but I am surprised that this design ditched the nose gap that 75003 had. That older design had a really nice looking split down the center of the nose where it tapers, and this set foregoes that in favor of two stickers with black edges. For me that detracts from the look of the thing, and coupled with the high price for such a small ship (the cart uses pieces that add a decent bit to the price) I am not very impressed with the set. It has a strong over reliance on stickers where prints would have been more desirable (or foregone completely).
A kid would absolutely love this thing, don't get me wrong, and that's where it's ultimately going. It's sturdy, has those fun spring loaded missiles, and looks good enough for creative minds. Having said that, Lego can and has made some really sweet looking models in the past, and it's disappointing this iteration takes a step back for reasons unknown. Were it $10 cheaper without that little cart I would probably just buy some pieces and redesign the nose myself, but as it stands it will be a nice gift for someone else. "
