"The kids and I love the campers. Im not sure why but we do. Usually each camper isn't too far off from the previous release but this one takes a much different direction. Its larger than the previous builds and the fact that its a trailer offers more play for the kids with the independent truck. Lots of little details on the inside too. Very cool set!"
"This is a great book that covers all the different themes over the many years. It isn't in any chronological order so its more of a reference than a straight through read. It offers some interesting information on different sets and it was great to see a lot of the sets that I had as a kid that were included. Tons of great pictures. Any lego fan big or small would love it."
"The space sets this year are extremely popular and hard to own. I have found that the actual Lego stores seem to have a better "in-stock" than the website. This is also if you are fortunate enough to live near an actual Lego store. The Women of Nasa set is a great, low priced limited edition set that was done very well in my eyes. It has good play value and its educational for the kids and adults. This also compliments the Apollo ship nicely (If you can get one). The IDEAS line continues to be a great way for Lego fans to add to the already terrific line of sets."
"When I saw the preview for this set I knew I had to have it. I went to my local Lego store on the day of release and picked it up. The build is a challenge for newbies (I had a friend help me build it) and I had to go back and fix her work many times. It made for great 5 to 6 hours of build time total as we took our time on it. The end result is an extremely impressive model. I thought the VW T1 Camper was big but this one towers it. There are not a ton of little details inside but the space is much larger so there is room to add into if need be. I've actually added The Beatles to mine from the Yellow Submarine set. Just seems more fitting to me. :) Outstanding set, the build time alone is worth the cost."
"In order to justify the purchase of this battery and the charging cable (transformer 10v #45517) it really comes down to how much use you will get out of it. The rechargeable battery box packs more power than the standard AAA battery box and its a longer run time. You would basically need to fully run the standard battery box at least 18 times to equal the cost of the rechargeable version. After that it pays for itself. If you've got trains running constantly throughout the year then its a no-brainer, if only around Christmas time then maybe not such a great investment. The extra power is nice and there is a dial on the box to regulate this. Just don't forget the power adapter or "Transformer 10v DC" as Lego calls it or it is useless."
"With another Holiday train appearing last year it was perfect timing for Lego to drop a Winter Holiday themed train station. As soon as I saw this I had to have it and built it right away instead of waiting for the Holidays to roll around.
The build isn't too tough but there were a couple of tricky sections in the beginning so I paid extra attention to make sure I wouldn't have to start all over again. All in all the build took about an hour and I love the results. Ive already got it on display with some smaller holiday sets and the train. Now I just have to wait for the tree to break out the rest of the village for the complete Christmas layout! Great job on this Lego!"
"This set as well as the other mini-Holiday set (40262) are two great offerings this year. These are perfect for adding into any Holiday Lego display with the larger Holiday Village buildings. Price per piece is really good at about 5 cents. I love the tree and fence display in this one and I'll need several for our winter village layout. Great job, Lego! Love these sets!!"
"This years Holiday mini sets are perfect for adding into any Lego Holiday scene or layout. Every November we break out the trains and an entire village consisting only of the Holiday buildings. Its great to be able to add on to the set-up every year and watch it grow. Great set and thanks Lego!!"
"I bought this for my 4 year old nephew and it was a hit. Little did I know after opening the set that all the tiles were printed! No stickers! The Junior line was a great addition to the Lego family for children that graduate from Duplo early. The Cars franchise is perfect for the Junior line with the builds being much more simplistic and a great amount of play value. What little boy doesn't like cars and trucks? I was just excited that it contained a lot of printed tiles and no stickers at all which is perfect for the smaller Lego fans!"
"Some great cars in the new wave of Speed Champions! This set and the Ford GT set caught my eye in my local Lego store the other day. Normally I buy for the kids but these are just for me! I wish there were more printed tiles as I'm not a fan of the stickers but overall it's still an awesome little set. I think I may have to pick up another."
