Surprisingly Awsome
" Let me start by announcing my bias: The only vehicle that should be called the Batmobile is Adam West's ride. Everything else, no matter how cool or awesome, should be called something else (Batcar, Batvehicle, BatATV ?) With that said, this set is really great. You get four vehicles that nest brilliantly into each other. Looks as good separately as it does attached. I went into this build expecting to hate it, but was turned into a fan by it's ingenuity and coolness.
A comment on one of the previous posts: I agree that this set seems to be a bit more fragile than other sets. There are several pieces that pop off when the kids play with it. However, I found that because the vehicles are symmetrical, if you compare the left side of the vehicle to the right side, it's not that hard to find where the popped off piece belongs. Also, the same parts keep breaking off, so after reassembling it five times, you learn exactly where the piece goes. Still, they are fragile and it probably is a better "display" set than a "play with" set. But only Lord Business could have the coldness to tell a kid not to play with a set this awsome.
I gave it a four brick rating because the villains are awful. Steal a Joker from one of the other dozen sets he comes with and problem solved.

Hard to complain about this one
" Hard to find fault with this set without being super nit-picky. Biggest complaint is the lift from the computer to the boat doesn't stay up at the computer level. But that's a fairly minor complaint against a great set. Both the Batboat and Penguin's Quack Attack boat are great. L-O-V-E the oufit-go-round. Like the spinning wall where Bruce turns into Batman, but maybe I would have liked it better with a Wayne Manor room on top of it (?). I added Lobster Lovin Batman to this set and feel that really completed the set. The kids play with it all the time. Great set, highly recommend. "

Great Set, BUT ...
" Bottom line up top: Great set. I'm very happy with it. But it could have been better.
The Batmobile looks great and the kids love playing with it, but upon further inspection, could be better with just a few changes. (1) The doors don't open. A flat hinge instead of the supplied angle piece would solve this. Oh well, Robin doesn't mind. (2) Guns on the front? Those don't belong. Put a red arch piece where the guns are so it looks like the original Batmobile. (3) Only two rocket exhaust pipes behind the cockpit. The Batmobile has three. Put a 1x2 tile with centered dot on top of the supplied hinge. Then a 1x3 plate on that. Then THREE PIPES. (4) No licence plate. Original Batmobile had a rear licence plate. Add a licence plate sticker to put on the 1x2 wedge piece which is where the plate should be. Easy fix, no?
I know that all sounds petty, but this IS a critique. LEGO is very good with attention to detail, but they skimped on the Batmobile (Maybe a future stand alone Batmobile set like the Creator or Technics sets. Big and loaded with detail).
Everything else is great. I love all the minifigures (Alfred is spot on. Catwoman actually kinda looks like Julie Newmar. Batman's cowel doesn't have a chin strap piece like the new Batmen have. Good job, LEGO.). I love the Wayne Manor study with two minor issues: The sliding bookshelf pulls all the way out and off. Switch the 1x2 brick on the right to a 1x2 brick with c-shaped holder to fix this. Easy. Don't know why it wasn't done. Also, no sign behind the Batpoles saying "Access To The Batcave Via The Batpoles". Another sticker can't add too much cost to a $250 set.
Love the apartment facade on the rear of the Batpole tower. Would have been nice to have at least one window on it deep enough to hold a celebrity minifigure, but I can be happy without that. Batcopter looks great. Building the Batcave became a bit tedious. I would suggest building the cave and helicopter pad first and leaving the fun stuff for the end. Big complaint about the bags: there are multiple bags with the same number. That defeats the purpose of numbering the bags. C'mon, if there's fifteen bags in the set, they should be numbered 1-15, not 1,2,3,3,3,4,5,5 etc.
Again, great set. Love it. A few negatives, but totally worth the time. Now it's on sale , so definitely worth the price.
