Solution To Stuck Smoke Stack
" First of all I want to say that I LOVE this set. I voted for it on LEGO Ideas and was very happy it was selected for production.
However, I had the problem that others have had with the rear smoke stack sticking. I tried the solution provided by LEGO: Gently lift the boat by the stuck smoke stack and set it back down. But it did not work for me. So I partially disassembled the boat to get to the section that surrounds the base of the rear smoke stack to see what the problem was. The parts assembled in Step 109 (pg. 114 of the instructions) seem to be putting too much pressure on the smoke stack base. I found that if I removed Part 4597131 (white 1x4 plate with 2 studs) that is installed in Step 110 (pg. 115), that I could make slight adjustments to the Step 109 parts. This allowed the smoke stack to move freely. I carefully reassemble the set without this part while making sure the smoke stack continued move freely as I went. Once complete, you cannot tell this part has been removed and the smoke stack moves as it should. I know this is not a perfect solution, but it work for me. Hopefully it will help others too. "

Beautiful Y-Wing Set
" I am not a big LEGO collector, nor a huge Star Wars fan, but this was a must have set for me. I do like both and the Y-Wing has always been my favorite ship. I missed out on the first USC Y-Wing set and have been patiently waiting for a new version. My patience has been rewarded! This set blows the previous set out of the water. The size and scale is perfect for display. The "greebling" is very well done and gives it a very realistic look. I have seen negative comments regarding stickers and the canopy. I have no problem with stickers. They are a little bit of a pain to put on, but they do add more detail to the set. Others have commented that the canopy should open sideways like the ships in the movie do. While I would like to have seen this as well, its not a big deal. When the canopy is closed, it looks very close to the movie models.
The build was not difficult, but you do have to pay attention to what you are doing. It took me about 3 days to put together, but that is mainly because I could only work on it in small stretches.
My only negative is the price. Which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. This set is retailing for $199.99 US. Personally, I think it is only worth about $125.00. This is not unique to this set. Most LEGO sets are overpriced in my opinion. Particularly the Star Wars sets. However, I liked this set well enough that I paid the $199.99 for it. "
