Not bad, but not outstanding either
" This set is ok. I don't think I'll pick up a second though. I'll start with the minifigures, since they're the reason we buy battle packs. The Stormtrooper Executioners are fantastic. I like that they come with both the electric pike thingy and also blasters (we'll get to those later), and the printing is, as always, exemplary. Ever since 2013/2014, the printing on minifigs have been superb. The First Order Shuttle Pilot is an interesting choice, since he's supposed to be a shuttle pilot, but hey, it's a cheap way to get a new minifigure which was (if i'm not mistaken) exclusive to the most expensive Last Jedi set, the First Order Star Destroyer. Not a fan of the First Order Crew member though, it feels like he is in every Force Awakens and Last Jedi set. In fact, I have almost as many of him as I do plain First Order Stormtroopers. I feel like he could've been replaced with a Heavy Gunner Stormtrooper. Now onto the build. It's pretty good for a battle pack, and it reminds me of the build from the Senate Commando battle pack from 2015 (I can't believe it's already been 3 years since that set). The spring loaded cannon is excellent for play, and it can be left off to look a little bit better on display. On to my main complaint, which I think most, if not all of Lego's older fans have as well: the stud blasters. Not a fan of them. I have said it all before: I know that they're meant for play and that Lego's target audience is kids, but I just can't get over it. If anyone at Lego is reading this, I urge you guys to, when designing battle packs, leave 4 measly little pieces off of the main build and give us 4 regular blasters, in addition to the stud shooters. This way, teens/ adults can have their regular blasters for display, while young kids can have their stud shooters for play purposes. Many teenage and adult Lego fans have suggested this idea, and I think it's a great one.
Overall I feel like this set suffers from the same problem that the First Order battle pack from 2016 suffers from; only 2 truly desirable minifigures. The purpose of battle packs is to help us build armies of troopers (clones, stormies, etc.). I'm pretty sure no one wants an army of shuttle pilots and officers. I give this set a 7/10. Good build and those Stormtroopers are great, but the other 2 minifigs are undesirable (for me) and the stud blasters don't help. Thank you for reading. "

Pretty good set overall
" This is my favorite battle pack in a while (I got 2 and might even get a 3rd). It's nice to be able to get a flametrooper in a cheap set. The new First Order Officer minifig is quite good. The best part of the set for me is the new riot control gear for the Stormtroopers, with redesigned batons and new shield pieces. The build is fine, nothing too special, though I like how Lego seems to have based it on old concept art for the First Order Snowspeeder (especially when looking at the front windscreen). My only real gripe with the set (besides the new $2 price increase) is the stud blasters. I understand that they're meant for play and all that, and that Lego's target audience are children, but I still am not a fan. They work fine for vehicles, but not minifigures. Lego, if you're reading this, I urge you to do what so many older fans have wanted and leave 4 measly pieces off of the main build and include, in addition to the stud shooters, 4 regular blasters. This way, you please both the younger fans who want the stud shooters for play, and the older fans who want the regular blasters for display purposes. Everyone wins.
Overall I give this set a 9 out of 10, falling short because of the stud shooter thing. I'll even accept the new price hike if you guys started including normal blasters in the battle packs to come. Thank you for reading. "
