Best Mech so Far
" Let me just say that this is probably one of my favorite sets (next to the Rock Roader and Morro's Dragon). If you are thinking of buying a nice big set for yourself and you are a Cole fan (or a fan of awesome stuff) then you should buy this! I'll break down the set and get all of the details covered so you can decide if you want the set or not.
First I'll talk about the minifigures. The set comes with 5 minifigures; Lady Iron Dragon, Cole, Fred Finley, and two Shark Army dudes. The Cole that it has is the same one you can get from the Manta Ray Bomber (which I got for Cole in the first place). He is a very nice figure to have and this is a cool way to get him if you need him. The Lady Iron Dragon minifigure is awesome to have. I was hoping that she would appear in a set so the fact that she came in this one was awesome and convenient. Fred Finley is okay, nothing too special about him per say. The set also has 2 new Shark Army dudes, so if you have a Shark Army collection to get beat up by the Ninja, these dudes will do.
Next I will focus on the set itself. Like I said, it is just beautiful. The attention to detail is impeccable and it makes a great display and play set. For those who wondered how it stood up just like I did, it has a kickstand built in the back so you can easily stand it up. My favorite part of the set is the turntables in the cockpit. He has some AC/DC records playing and that is just awesome to me. Other features that are awesome are the HUGE tire, the arms with articulated fingers, and the shooting speakers. The tire is massive, it's honestly amazing. The way that the lower half of the set is designed looks amazing, especially with the tire. The arms have the shooting speaker mechanism, and let me tell you, this is one swole mech. The arms are big enough to be able to have the articulated hands, so he can pick up Shark Army dudes and fling them across the room. After he has flung them he can shoot them. This whole set is really fun to play with.
Overall this is a wonderful set. I can't say that there is one reason you shouldn't get it, because it is so great. Whether you want it for display, playing with, or both, this is an awesome set for all. "

Totally boss set!
" This set was my birthday present to myself and I was not disappointed! It was fun to build and fun to play with! I'll go over everything though so it is clear what is being purchased.
Starting with structure overall it is durable. The cons would be the roof structure and the land leading to the door. On the roof there are corner slopes that are attached to the main roof plates and often when trying to pick up the set or move it they fall off. Minor detail but rather annoying. I have also had the land leading to the door fall off during transportation which is a lot less frequent than the roof pieces falling off but harder to put back on. Now that the cons are out of the way there are so many redeeming qualities of the set! The appearance of the set is lovely and looks beautiful on my display. The interior is spectacular as well! the detail is incredible from the Vermillion statue to the scroll rooom. My favorite components of the set are the swinging bone cage, the underground part with the iron bars, and the dropping boulder. I'd say a 4.5/5 on structure.
Play wise, this set is so fun! With all of the traps and the awesome interior it provides lots of fun for hours. The traps include a moving sword trap on the third floor, a trap that drops TNT on said minifig, a boulder that falls via lever (or pressure plate but that's only when i"m playing), pegs that can extend from the main part and cause the treasure chest to move farther away, and a blade launcher in the scroll room. My favorite is the boulder because you can pretend your minifig steps on the pressure plate and it just falls with one fluid motion and it knocks the minifig down which is so amusing to me. One of the coolest features however, is the iron bars you can make your minifig grab and they can remove them. For some reason that is the coolest thing ever. There is also the swinging bone cage which is my other favorite. You can stick your minifig in it (or when i'm displaying it I put one of my skeleton guys in there) and it makes for some good stories. I'm going to say 5/5 on play.
Now let's talk the good stuff; minifigs. I must say I am very pleased with the minifigs. It comes with all of the ninja in their ninja force gi's but instead of having the masks they have their hair pieces, and It also has jungle Garmadon. One thing I have noticed is that the more expensive the set the better quality the printing is on the heads, torsos, etc. So naturally the printing was high quality on these minifigs. I love how it comes with all of the ninja and I now have all of the ninja in their ninja force gi's with hair pieces. The Garmadon minifig is really cool too ,I love the attention to detail on him. A solid 5/5 on the minifigs.
After having this set for a little while now, I'd definitely say that if you are wanting to be bold and buy a more expensive set, and if you are really looking forward to the Ninjago Movie then you should get this set! It's fun to play with, has good minifigs, and has a beautiful build. The best part is that it is not something that if you are like me and have a low income source is not remotely affordable such as the Death Star. The set gets a 7.arm-ripped-off from me. "
