"I built this with my 3.5 year old. He put most of it together with me directing. We both very much enjoyed the build.
The extra details are fantastic and add lots more playability.
My one major gripe is all of the plastic bags to hold the components. Surely paper bags would be more sustainable? Even if you had to use small transparent windows so people could see the parts inside.
Of the build itself I can't say I really like the missing tiles in the roof, or that one side of the well has a decent roof. Very minor gripes though.
Can't wait for some more medieval builds, a tavern would be amazing!
"We bought this as a first Lego set to see if our son would enjoy playing Lego. He (3yo) really enjoyed the build and it took him a fair while without too much coaching. The tree was a bit of a letdown as the foliage falls off.
I reckon a cat would have been good. As it would have doubled the playing scenarios with one additional piece.
However, he still loves it 6 months later, so it's a definite winner."
"My three and a half year old took 10 hours to build this, with a fair amount of coaching. He loved every step. Wherever we stopped in the build there was something fun to do. From tickling the alien, doing dentistry with the cute rover on the alien, to flying around on a quick build machine. The detail on this is fantastic, I particularly like the articulated suspension. He loves picking up the Oxygen cylinders. The only let down with this build is the manipulators on the front, they are so woefully short, they might as well not be there. I can't wait to build the other builds."
