Let the battle begin!
" I’d seen this in shops for a while and was contemplating buying this, after seeing many reviews and going to smyths and seeing it on offer I couldn’t resist.
I love the colour palet and I love the range of figures, though the width of the bridge gets me a little bit. I just feel it could be wider to allow for small vechiles, though the mighty micros sets fit quite nicely and coincidentally there is a set with scorpion and Spider-Man so I bought that set to compliment the bridge. I think my other little moan is the lack of a police officer to control the police quad bike.i would of liked an Americanised police officer I think. Though twist it around to the positives and there’s loads! Aunt May, spider girl and scarlet spider are great, I absolutely love them. The extensive details are a much needed addition to this set to, they really help bring it to life. Oh and the yellow taxi! It really brings the New York feel into action, it’s a lovely little car!
Overall I do really like this set, size isn’t a huge problem as it is quite big but I guess more Lego is always a positive.
Whilst making this set I decided to create a stop motion of it being built, it was the first one I’d ever done and I am quite pleased with how it went too. I tried to attach it but it wouldn’t so oh well "

2295 pieces of perfection
" Well...this set is just beautiful. Since I saw the release of the set I knew I couldn’t not get get it and when I saw it in Smyths Toys for £74.99 it quickly became mine.
There are so many bits about this I just love, for example the almost modular style in effect with the ability to remove levels easily to get to the bottom. I also really liked that all 6 ninjas and Master Wu was included in this set, I mean it was almost garunteed to happen though it doesn’t make it any less important. This is just a thing of beauty really. I do feel it has made such an improvement on the last Destiny’s Bounty (70738) which in a way was somewhat expected because Lego is pushing the boundaries with the pieces and creating more bigger and better sets than ever though as said earlier this I feel is important too.
With all pros there’s cons, but very few in this set. My only problem with this is the fragility of the fragon heads at the front and the lanterns along the side which means when I move it or pick it up the heads in particular have a tendency to fall off. Though that is Lego, it’s almost made to fall apart though as a self proclaimed AFOL I would of preferred it if they had a little more structure to reduce the chances of them breaking. These side notes are nothing more than a little constructive (pardon the pun) criticism which I guess is why we are able to review sets in order to expand the ever growing brand of Lego.
So all in all I think this is probably one of the best sets released in 2017, a good piece count, nice amount of Minifigures and the toilet roll was a nice little addition too. "
