Travel In Style
" This was one of the more enjoyable builds I came across when restarting my collection recently. There's something special about building a Lego vehicle, and it was especially fun to combine the attachable camper.
The SUV is rather straightforward, but is stylish and has a roomy area behind the driver's seat for the included dog piece or the non-driver minifig to sit. The instrument panel piece was a clever touch.
The camper is far more detailed on the interior, and its mostly-white exterior makes it stand out when being towed by the SUV. With an opening section along the left side, within we see a bed area that can fit both minifigs or used as a dog bed, a nifty little coffee maker and, alternatively, a large space to store this or that.
All in all, this was a great purchase, solid value for the money and a great set to add to a town theme or as a stand-alone set piece. It's not as interactive as some sets, but as a vehicle it could get plenty of mileage from your younger Lego fans. For me, this vehicle fits in nicely with two other sets I've purchased; Treehouse Adventure and Lakeside Lodge. "

Superb Builds And Genuine Adventure Await
" This is one of three 3-in-1 sets I currently own, and it is by far the most impressive in terms of rebuild-ability and unique detail. All three variations are enjoyable to construct and to interact with, and can easily be custom-tailored to personalize the appearance. The primary build is the most ingenious, with a collapsing/raising bridge between two sliding sections of a large treehouse. This build features a cool hidden compartment in the base of the treehouse, a creative little wheelbarrow, adjustable tree branch/foliage and a sharp-looking bluejay build. The finer details at the base of the treehouse, such as the flowers and certain touches in the water sections help round out what is one of the more creative and impressive-looking builds I've seen in some time.
The alternate builds also contain their own unique charms, such as a can-to-can 'phone' and a retractable ladder.
One of the coolest aspects of this set is something I've never seen in a Lego set before: children minifigs. I do believe they've been around for awhile but I've never come in contact with them. While it is somewhat disappointing that their shorter legs do not move, the smaller stature makes them ideal for the set and for mixing into a host of others. Awesome indeed!
Worth every penny and a joy to assemble in any of its variations, this is one of my favorite sets and I would recommend it to any Lego fan young or old. "

Quick, Simple, Enjoyable
" I bought this set on a whim because, in my younger years, I had numerous boat frames including small rowboats and missed the creative possibilities such a frame opens up. To start, the frame of this boat, which also does in fact float in water, is excellent for the purposes of this build as well as freestyle builds, sharp and sleek. The minifigs are right at home, and I particularly dig the male fig's sporting baseball cap. It has a design I never used to see in the rather vanilla baseball caps in older sets.
The build itself is overall quick and easy, but that doesn't seem to be the point of this set. This set is more about the accessories and functionality, and it shines in these regards. Small touches like life vests, a menacing shark, the buoy, three cool fish pieces which can be attached to a long line for the fishing pole, twin outboard engines that can be raised and lowered with spinning blades on each, the name plate on the back of the boat and the nifty decals for the side of the boat...lots of cool little touches. The sonar piece I found particularly cool.
Again, a simple set to construct but once finished it shines in appearance and functionality. I could see this being displayed in an actual pool of water. "

Excellent Theme, Limited Build
" I've bought half a dozen sets (so far) in restarting my Lego collection, three Creator 3-in-1 sets and three City sets. This set has been the least enjoyable for me. Allow me to explain.
The theme is, as the title suggests, wonderful and the set pulls it off brilliantly. The main build features a somewhat bland beach house (at least in its interior, although the ceiling fan was a nice touch) and a nice color scheme of smooth blues and wooden base on sand. The hammock beneath the beach house is by far the highlight of the set, a clever and comfortable-looking aspect. There is also a jet ski (a rather basic and unimpressive jet ski), a sea turtle (which looks the part at a distance but up close is rather goofy), a bird which I believe is a seagull (clever, and I've seen this same type of bird build in other sets) and a small but colorful tropical tree. A couple of starfish and a surfboard help round out the beach getaway aesthetic.
Where this set lets me down is its alternate builds, a sushi shack and an alternative beach hut build. These builds, in comparison to the other 3-in-1 sets I own, are rather limited in their appeal. The small boat featured with the sushi shack is clunky, and the beach hut, while making a cool windsurf board out of the hammock piece and surfboard, is tinny and lacking detail. I frankly expected a bit more out of a 3-in-1 set. A saving grace for this is that the set has enough pieces to it that freestyling builds is not too much of a problem, although similarly themed sets would help in this regard.
This is, again, only the 6th set I've purchased recently and it's been years since I last purchased sets at all, but for the price and piece count, I came in expecting three solid builds. One excellent build and two so-so builds averages out to a so-so set for me. It is just about worth it for the main build, though.
A question! Is the enclosed fish in the main build meant to be a fishtank or a television? I can't figure it out! "

Who Doesn't Love Pizza? Or This Set?
" This is a fantastic little build, with the real selling points being the finer details. Being a vehicle, the pizza van is quite lifelike and mobile, well-balanced and the color scheme is ideally fitting. The addition of a moped was a plus and can be a fine selling point for kids who enjoy interacting with the toys. The patio table is another nice touch, with small pizza slice pieces to complete the outdoor eating scene.
Where this set truly shines is, again, in the finer details. The interior of the pizza van is the showcase: a microwave with buttons and indicator light, a whole pizza on the stove, red and yellow dispensers which I assume are ketchup and mustard but could easily be pizza sauce and cheese sauce, and the two coolest items to me being the french fries and can of soda. The can-top flat piece for the soda is something I actually remember wishing for as a youngster. These details are topped off by a cash register, cool decals for the outside of the van and dual side doors that lift up to reveal the interior. Also a front driver area so both minifigs can be in the van together.
Did I mention the pizza chef minifig is pretty nifty?
I thoroughly enjoy this set. It's not an overly engaging build, rather simple for the most part, but assembling the interior is always a treat. A wonderful addition to a collection of City sets that recently have been far more hit than miss. This is one of the best I've come across, and a real value for the money. "

My First Set In Years, A Wonderful Welcome Back
" I was first introduced to Lego with a gift of the Black Seas Barracuda when I was six, from an older cousin who had lost interest in the hobby. Over the next decade+ I would collect well over one hundred more sets, most as gifts and all loved dearly. In my early 20's I made the unfortunate choice to sell my entire collection, tens of thousands of pieces, hundreds of minifigures and countless memories. I've regretted it for years.
I had played with the idea of restarting my old passion and buying a new set to begin a new collection, until one day I simply picked this set up while looking for a gift for a relative and said to myself "this looks cool, I'm going to get it". Simple as that.
I put together the main build first, that same day, and took it apart, assembled the additional two builds, then made a freestyle build. I was hooked again.
For the simple reason that this set was my rebirth into the world of Lego, it holds a special place. Regardless, it is an excellent set, with all the old touches of realism and creativity that I have always adored about Lego; the stylish part in the minifigure's hair; the detailed wooden aesthetic with end pieces that create a log cabin-esque appearance; the cut stumps of trees scattered about; the small touches of antique feathered pen, a letter one can assume is precious to the cabin's owner, either sent from a loved one or bound for one. The frog was a wonderful touch as well, suitable for the small watered area near the cabin.
This set rekindled a lifelong passion I had ignored for many years, and I've since upped my collection to half a dozen sets. This set remains my favorite among them, both for being the first of my new collection and for simply being a fantastic build, well-valued, wonderfully detailed and surprisingly satisfying in all of its three builds. Well recommended and well loved. "
