"The Movie maker is a great backdrop for those wishing to create stop go animation. It is quick and easy to assemble. Whilst there are a few rods to support figures vehicles even in flight ( a counter balance may be required for heavier objects), there are very few props to create the scene. A few little bushes or rocks would have gone a long way. My biggest bug bear is the fact that all the base plates etc are Dark Stone Grey I would have expected them to blend in with the back drop scene and use Sand Yellow. We have enough Grey stone plates with other movie makers."
"I was not too sure when I bought this set. I did not feel that it fitted with the rest of the street. But, I was so glad I did, it was a fun build with lots of variation in the design of the building with bold new colours for my street. I did not suffer the monotony experienced with some of the other larger buildings. THe use of different colours helps, The seperate floors just fit into each other so nicely and are solid. A couple of the other buildings I have made do not have the same robustness. The team that designed this kit are outstanding, I would recommend this as a good building to start with for those that have contemplated building one of the creator range but, were unsure. It is very easy to build, it has lots of that lego fun and some really quite clever bits tucked away, The minifigures are outstanding although I am not sure about the boxers hairdo, he wouldn't punch his way out of a paper bag, This is one of my all time favorite builds."
"Love the new set it's nice to see a set of true Lego Minifigures rather than a licenced set of which, we have had a few recently. The Party theme was brilliant and by and large the execution of the figures was brilliant. The exception for me was the two figures dressed as 6x2 bricks. I like the true minifigure inside the suit as was achieved with the Cake man and Flower pot girl. My big disappointment was the Policeman; love the fact that he was a replica of the First True minifigure (I believe) but, by including only one in each box it has made it difficult to achieve the set, without supporting the after market sales which, is currently trading the Policeman at over 5 times the retail price. Every shop I have been in have suffered from the same problem,1 all the boxes have been gone through and the Policeman has been removed. I have gone through hundreds of bags looking for the elusive Policeman even boxes that appear to be unopened, have all but one figure in them. In future, can we please play fair, I can't see what you gain from the limited figure and we the loyal lego fans lose out. :-( Happy 40th Lego Minifigure :-) PS. Can we also restrict the number of figures to 16, as your display cases are designed to hold 16. 17 makes it difficult to display using lego display cases."
