A fine set, even if the price is hard to stomach

" It took me almost half an hour to find the U-Wing at my local Barnes & Noble store. After I finally got it, I started building almost right away. This is an exceptional set. While the price is rather steep when compared to the parts count, the set itself is very good. It includes five minifigures, among which are Jyn Erso and Cassian Andor. The build is pretty quick, and when completed, one is struck by the size. Although the troop bay proportions are off, the model is still extremely accurate. The model could only have been improved with A) A slightly deeper cockpit so that the mining could actually sit upright, or B) A longer troop bay for better proportions. "

Excellent, but not without problems

" I got this set for Christmas and was very excited. I had not gotten any Force Awakens sets due to the great Ninjago sets that year, so this range is a good opportunity to get the vehicles and characters.

Build

The build was fun but took a while, 3 1/4 hrs.

Model

This model is very large and also very accurate. It has a full interior, and eight stud shooter cannons on the exterior. However, many of the parts on the lower hull panel fall off when the model is opened and closed.

Parts

There are good parts in this set. One of my favorites is the hologram.

All in all, it is a great set, but I would recommend strengthening the hull panels. I also reccommmend the First Order Speeder Battle Pack for more crew. "
