A surprising set!
" When I got this set in the mail, at first I was kinda bummed, with its small box and its fairly boring box art. I don't usually buy legos anymore but when I rarely do, I'm super picky about which set I buy. But when it was fully done, I was fascinated, the set is a great size for the price, includes a lot of cool elements and is probably one of the best Lego Minecraft sets for play... ever. The price is good for the number of pieces, this set includes some of the coolest features ever in a Minecraft set. I honestly hope they make more sets like this. With a cool scene, lots of play area, good price, and awesome play features, then maybe people would open up to LEGO Minecraft even if they are not Minecraft fans. The only critic i can make is that the build wasnt very fun to construct the landscape as its most jump the same build over and over again. Overall:
Pros:
-Good price
-Good amount of pieces
-Lots of play area
-The best play features in a Minecraft set TO DATE!
Cons:
-The build (the landscape) was pretty repetitive

Awesome set, get it while you can!
" This set is truly amazing, I got it at Walmart for $100 Canadian. Since this set is retiring soon, its probably on clearance/sale and that said, its really a steal. However the original 140 dollar price tag is pretty pricey (price to piece ratio). The set has quite a few play features, the front door works perfectly and is fun to use. The arrows are flick fire missiles and are functional. The switch powered iron door works ok, but doesn't open fully as it gets caught on the armor stand (Can be easily fixed but kind of a disturbance for purists)... The rebuilds are also really cool!. The set is kind of a hassle to move around (lifting it) .. its a very sturdy design when on a flat surface, but when lifting it, it will fall apart if you dont lift it correctly. So; Its a awesome set for both older and younger collectors/fans, the action features are cool and this set includes a bunch of cool mini figs and builds, its a really good set for the money! (Its a steal if its on clearance/sale)
Pros:
-Awesome design
-Nice selection of mini figs and builds
-Play features are clever and functional
-Rebuilds are very cool
-Very customizable interms of how you design the fortress
-Awesome for the shelf, even better for play
-Those red creeper banners
Cons:
-The $140 initial price tag is abit steep
-Hard to pick up and move (Very repetitive)
-its hard to fit the horse in the stable. BUT, it does fit :)

very cool and lots of play area
" Its a very fun build. At first i thought i made a mistake buying this set over something like the crafting box. However this set includes alot of play area and a nice amount of scenery! A nice selection of minecraft builds and minifigs, that said i wish there was abit more like a bed or a furnace instead of a creeper. Also another thing is that this set is not game-correct as hostile mobs like the creeper dont spawn on mushroom islands. Theres nothing wrong with a pure exploration set LEGO, not every set needs to come with a hostile mob!
Pros:
-LOTS of play area (Very good for kids)
-Looks nice on the shelf (Good for older collecters)
-A very configurable playset
-Nice selection of minifigs
-Worth it for the price
Cons:
-The one and only play feature isnt very good
-Rebuilds are meh
-Not game-correct
