"this set is fun and playable, so I would recommend it. there is a lot you can do and multiple parts to build, and useful pieces. my biggest complaint goes for all Lego friends sets, and it is that there are a lot of cool things, but they are all sets that are for girls, and they do not fit into my city or winter village/ski resort. the pool, ski resort series, resort, and large houses are all examples of this. I'm hoping for more in the future. also, I've noticed that Lego sets are becoming more expensive, which makes it hard to get what I need. overall, great set, but there should be sets like it for everyone."
"I like the lego baseplates because they can be used for many things and save the pain of connecting/buying 16x16 plates. also, they are slightly flexible so I can use them on changing angles.
I would also like to say that the green plates are good, the color is realistic (although many fans hate it), and they are even more useful. I already reviewed that and couldn't figure out how to edit it once it was submitted (if it's possible, a response teaching me how would be nice)."
"i think a rechargeable battery is a good idea, because most of my batteries are built into the creation (the power for a chairlift in a nearby lodge) and I don't want to remove it. however it is CRAZY expensive to get just one of these ($80, with the necessary charger) and not worth it. the other battery boxes are $70 more inexpensive and have the same power."
"I love legos and I love skiing, so it didn't take long for me to discover the ski resort series. however, I was disappointed because they had poor quality and were designed for 6 year old girls, and the characters are the same (a con for lego friends in general). I bought this one because it had good parts to build lodges for my MOC resort, and was happy with that. I think it is the best of the snow resort series because a) it is the most realistic, and b) has useful parts. as I said on my review for the ski lift, a motorized chairlift or even something like this but for lego city, would be good. I also like the hot tub."
"I think that a lego playmat is a great idea, so 5 for play experience, but $25 is a lot for five cardboard pieces that I could make with paper and markers."
"a very good set with good parts. my only problem is the plane design, which is a little big to have the engines in the back (a more appropriate size is the 3181 passenger plane). however the airport series in general I feel like has been decreasing in quality. it needs more passenger planes like the 318- series or the 789- series."
"I bought two of these with a gift card I got for christmas, and they are currently in use on my ski mountain, holding the lodge and a couple lifts. it is quite useful except for the fact that I have to cover it in white plates. it would be nice to have white plates that are bigger than 6x8 studs. I would gladly spend more money for new colors."
"I love Lego and I love skiing so I was so excited when I heard there was a ski resort set until I saw it. I was quite mad that it was a bright blue and pink set and was so small. I think a motorized lift would be cool (I'm making my own ski resort with 4) so here's the pros & cons: pros: -cool pieces -reasonable price cons: -colors are unrealistic -designed for girls instead of both boys and girls (a city ski resort would be cool) -1 slope doesn't even return to lift -small if I could design a ski resort it would include a motorized realistic chairlift with multiple slopes and there would be a lodge or two."
