"I love the three part fold open design of the forge and the general look of it. It is nice enough that I intend to keep it set up and display it.
I like the new gi/body prints for Kai and Nya. I love that it looks like we'll get to meet their parents. While I would much rather have set with Ed & Edna Walker in the Jalopy from Ningaball Run episode, I do love the forge with these parents of *other* ninja.
The design of the dragon was well done, but I dislike that it is almost all back with just a smattering of Nya and Kai's signature colors. Why so much black, LEGO designers? The dragon also has printed tiles with Kai and Nya's seals in the same style as the tile seals on the 70595 Ultra Stealth Raider.
I love the printed sushi bento box tiles. I love the graphics of the rug, but unfortunately it is a sticker.
Way too many stickers in this set. I don't like putting them on, and they never age nor wear well."
"I love that the cell and gantry in this set click together, and also click together with the popping egg nest from the 70621 The Vermillion Attack set and the bit of turf from the 70625 Samurai VXL set nests nicely on the top of the cell. I am delighted by the across the board design/planning of the different sets that allowed them to easily work together. I also like the brown open cross beam panels, and would love to get more of those pieces.
I like the new gi/body prints for Jay and Lloyd in this set. I would like Jay to have armor that carries his signature nunchaku rather than swords. I also miss Jay's signature silver/armored right arm.
I like the Time Twins minifigures and am curious about who they may be.
It seems the TV series is well behind toy production, so I have no idea what is going on, but I'm having fun thinking about what might be happening."
"I love the dark/earth blue and dark tan color combo of this new vehicle, and would have liked it to have more earth blue and less black. So many LEGO vehicles are designed in black, and I would like more variety in color. The chassis swaying steering mechanism is well designed, was fund to put together and continues to be fun to drive around.
I like the new differently colored Samurai X armor, and wonder who might be wearing it since Nya is also in the set sporting her new gi.
The small turf piece in this set nests nicely on the top of the cell from the 70626 Dawn of Iron Doom set.
General Machia is one of the few bad guys in this series that has a distinctive look. I like the new well designed metallic protagnist armor. There are only a few basic armor pieces, helmets, bodies, and two faced heads that are recombined to make many different bad guys. Unfortunately most of them look the same to me, so few stand out as being special.

"It is good to see the name Destiny revisit the Ninjago story. This was a fun build. I like the brown/olive color combo, and I love the pop out wings and detachable canoes. I'm confused by all the other moving parts on the back of the craft that don't seem to do anything.
I like the new Cole and Lloyd body/gi prints in this set, but would like Cole to have armor that holds a scythe rather than swords. Lloyd doesn't have any armor in this set.

I like the new Zane body/gi print in this set. I don't like that he always seems to come with sword holsters and never anything to hold his signature shuriken.

The tank in this set seem to be a bigger version on the tank in 70622 Desert Lightning, and I like to think it starts small and grows.
The stickers in this set didn't seem to add much, so I didn't even put them on. Please, more printed parts and fewer stickers."
"Aside from the stickers, I enjoyed putting this set together. The new protagonist armor is metallic colored and well designed. I also like the new ninja uniforms, but miss that Jay doesn't have his signature silver armor right arm.
It seems the TV series is well behind toy production, so I have no idea what is going on, but I'm having fun thinking about what might be happening.
Set 70624 Vermillion Invader seems to have a larger iteration of the single tread tank vehicle in this set, and I'm curious if it starts small and grows."
"This set has a nifty mechanism than pops the top off the metallic egg when a lever on the back is turned. It also has clips on the side that allow it to be connected to the gantry and cell from 70626 Dawn of Iron Doom.
The metallic armor on the bad guys is intricate and well designed.

"This set is mostly basic pieces, with six specialty printed faces, six printed eyes, and a few tan Unikitty tails that could be used in so many ways. No Lumpy Space Princess. I voted for this set on Lego Ideas and like the figures, but it isn't worth $50.
I would recommend downloading the instructions and building the figures for yourself.
I would have been thrilled to pay $19.99 for this set."
"I enjoyed putting this set together, and love the detail on the Joker minifigure.
I enjoyed clicking this set together with the wall from 70901 Mr Freeze to make a bigger set.
This set has a few stickers, which I hate putting on and never age well. Putting the square/diamond shaped sticker on the middle of the big curved panel was particularly difficult."
"This was my first set with the mini ball and socket mech chassis. It is also included in the new Nexo Knights battle suit sets. I verymuch enjoyed building and playing with the mech and the power plant section.
I like the new utility belt piece for batman and the more shimmery cape material.
This set has three stickers. I love the graphics on the stickers, but hate putting them on and they never age nor wear well. I'm disappointed I didn't manage to get the GE gage sticker on straight."
