Striking display piece
" A set that I Impulse bought on Ebay one night. This set surprised me in both its scale and how impressive it looks. The design of the ship is an instant classic, something between a tie interceptor (Please make another) and Vader's tie advanced x1.
This set was a joy to build, especially the core section of the ship and all the little detailing on the back.
The tie silencer is easy to grip from behind and includes two spring loaded dart launchers making it a good choice in terms of playability. With it's sleek tie profile and attention to detail, it is just as good for display purposes. A lot of the details on this model such as the red clear cockpit and exhaust as well as the features on the wings and the top of the craft make this an exceptional set visually.
I prefer to display mine next to the first order tie fighter on top of my PC. The acrylic stands are a little something I found on Ebay. Looking forward to getting more ties to add to the fleet.

My most epic LEGO yet!
" After building the amazing Kylo Ren tie fighter set I was keen to buy more LEGO. After looking around thoroughly online and in stores I finally saw the Slave 1 UCS set in the LEGO store Chadstone. It seemed sort of hard to justify the $299 price tag at first but after 20 minutes into building the set there was no doubt it was worth the money. The build was a delight from start to finish and never really felt tedious or repetitive.
In terms of playability, there are some noteworthy features such as the retractable side guns and missile as well as the gravity controlled wings and rotatable lower turret. The set can be difficult to grip and due to its large size and weight i'd recommend this primarily as a display piece.
The Boba Fett mini-fig has a nice amount of detail to it, additionally you get two rifles to go with him that get stored in the cockpit. The Han Solo Carbonite piece is the cherry on the cake.
All in all i'm quite satisfied with the purchase, for the money you get an impressive and iconic Star Wars ship to display around the home.
