Enjoyable mid-level build
" This build came very hyped, and I was a touch underwhelmed but still enjoyed it.
When completed it doesn't quite feel 'done'. The back of the yacht is quite open and the look of it takes a bit of getting used to.
The mast, sails and hull are all really well done and enjoyable to put together, and the mechanisms are fantastic and very clever.
I would have liked a way to fasten the wheel to one spot, it's great that it moves but it's a bit too "floppy" as it is.
For the money it's a really nice looking and fun to put together set that I'd recommend to others. The use of the rubber bands is outstanding, and I had none of the issues some have reported about them breaking or not working very well. "
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good bonding build
" This was a build for me to do with my 5yo son (me doing most of the trickier bits), and it was ideal.
It had plenty of more fiddly bits to keep me entertained, sufficient pieces to keep us going, great detail to prompt "This is the part of the car that ... " discussions, but also wasn't so complex he couldn't get involved in almost every step to some extent.
I bought it on sale for $120 and at that price it feels like a bargain; not sure whether the same would be true at full price, but even then it would be a pretty good deal.
The finished model looks awesome, is sturdy enough that my son and his younger brother can play with it without too much risk of bits coming off or breaking, yet it still has sufficient detail to be very satisfying sitting on a shelf with the various 'bits' open.
The one gripe I had with it is a single contact point for the doors makes them feel very flimsy, especially in comparison to the rest of the car that feels very secure. Would have liked to see another joint making them open and close smoothly instead of feeling like they're about to fall off (which they haven't actually done, it's worth noting).
Otherwise, couldn't fault it! "
