"Both my daughter and I love this set. It has so much play value and lots of new pieces!
Let's start off with play value. This would make a great gift for an ice skater, because you can pretend your minidolls are doing spins and jumps. Lego has created small "ice skates" which can attach to a minidoll's feet, which my daughter thinks is cool. The minidolls come in winter apparel. After skating, you can pretend to play hockey, or grab a cup of coco while listening to music. My daughter and her friend had tons of fun making their minidolls skate!
I like the design as well. It's not that challenging of a build, but the design of the stage and nearby kiosks look great! They are made of brown bricks, which gives them a "lodge"look. So not only does this ice rink have lots of play value, but it looks great too!
Overall, I really recommend this set since it proves to have a lot of play value."
"I have mixed feelings about this set. This was bought for my daughter's birthday, and she was really happy upon opening it. Emma is her favorite character and she loves baking - so this set fit her well. There are several unique pieces to this, such as the rainbow cake, which my daughter enjoyed. Plus, she said she thought the swinging outdoor dining area was a nice touch.
But there are also several things I find lacking on this set. There isn't much space for the minidolls to actually eat, besides one table on the side. I would've liked to see more tables, to make the building feel like a cafe. Also, the design of the exterior is two walls with a door on the corner - really basic. I feel like the build could've been more challenging by changing up the design of the exterior.
But otherwise, my daughter still loved all the pretty, unique pieces. This set is lacking on play value, though, because you can't play out a cafe scene with only 1 interior table.
I would recommend this set if you're buying just for the pieces, but if you're looking for something that has a lot of great play value, then I suggest looking for something else."
"I bought this to use a party favors for my 11 year old daughter's birthday party. After handing them out to her friends, they were really excited and wanted to start building right away.
This Wonder Woman Brickheadz is a detailed copy of the original superhero from the movie. She has her iconic "W" on her armor, and a golden headpiece as well. Her armor is detailed as well; it's very similar to the actual movie. All of these are printed, which I find is amazing - this set is only $10 and it has 3 special, exclusive printed pieces!
Although the term "Brickheadz" implies an image of a character with a blocky, square head, I actually think Lego did a great job with making Wonder Woman have some texture on her hair. It's not all blocky; there are dips and curves and swirls, just like in the movie!
For only $10, I think this is a great deal. It would be a great gift for any Justice League fan!"
"'Aira & The Song of the Wind Dragon' is an amazing set in so many ways. It'd be the perfect gift for any fantasy lover, not just a collector of Lego Elves! I bought this for my daughter's friend (11 yrs), and she was so delighted to be receiving it.
Personally, I prefer Lego Friends sets better, but this one caught my eye. For one, the design is so creative and beautiful. The cloud island has a wonderful color scheme of light blues, tans, greens, and golds. My favorite part would have to be the floating cloud island. The minidolls can jump on the island and be transported through the sky!
Another trait of this is that it comes with plenty of special pieces. There are 4 ombre blue-purple lighting bolts as winds, plus several musical instruments - a guitar, harp, and piano. Overall, Lego Elves sets have tons of cool pieces in all shapes and colors. (Lumia even has a wind-staff!)
In summary, this is a great set that is 100% worth the money. I highly recommend it."
"I bought this set for my daughter's camping-themed birthday. She had wanted this for months, especially because of the "tent" and hiking signs, but besides those, there's also a lot of cool new pieces. Some of my favorites: the life raft/jackets, the new look for 2018 Lego Friends, a horse, and overall just the design for the RV was so pretty! I love the "Mia" colors - blue, greens, and oranges, with a flash of light purple here and there.
The build was average - most of it was easy, but when it came to assembling the sleeping area of the RV, we found some problems. First off, the windshield only has two studs for connections, and there are no other supports. Every time we tried to attach the loft, the windshield would just fall down. My daughter started getting frustrated - there seemed to be a problem in the design! But after a while, we patiently were able to put the whole thing together. So just keep in mind - that part may be a little tricky!
Now let's discuss the appearance of the set. There are SO MANY fun little accessories to play with! Besides the main builds, this set comes with so many tiny builds, such as the picnic table, apple tree, and tent! I love all the detail that is included - whether it be a physical piece or a sticker! The sleeping bags are probably my favorite part!
Anyways, this is a great set for nature lovers! I highly recommend it!"
"My 10-year-old daughter got this small set for her birthday. She was really excited that Lego had released a birthday-themed cake! She build it quickly and had lots of fun popping the "joker" minifigure up and down.
This set has a lot of great detail. The candles are an excellent addition, as well as the layers of cake topped with white frosting. The best part is the hidden minifigure inside! All the guests who attended her birthday party were really amused at the Joker bouncing out of the cake, like a Jack-in-the-Box!
The only problem with this is that the "lid", or rather, should I say "frosting," of the cake is not sturdy, so it gives away the fact that there's something inside. Whenever the cake is moved around, the lid wobbles, sometimes opening completely!
But besides that, everything is great with this set! You should know that the Joker has an alternate face, a sad one, but I don't know why you would ever be sad on your birthday!
"This BrickHeadz Elsa only includes 130 pieces, but it's jam-packed full of details, from the iconic braid to the detail on her dress! I bought this for my friend's 6-year-old daughter, and she was pleased and surprised to see one of her favorite Disney princesses in BrickHeadz form.
The build itself is rather easy, although my friend's daughter did need some help from her older sister. You'll need to pay attention to the part where the hair is built; the small round pieces are tricky to keep track of! Anyways, as for the overall look of Elsa, I'd say it's an accurate representation of the animated character from the movie. Her braid is full of dimension and texture, and it really looks as if it's going over her shoulder! Plus, the printed piece for the front of her dress really compliments her iconic look!
This set is a must have for any Frozen lover, and would go really well with the Anna/Olaf BrickHeadz (which I have!)"
"I bought this set for my 8-year-old son. He's an avid NINJAGO fan, and was quite pleased when he found out that a Master Wu BrickHeadz had been released.
Even though this set's recommended for ages 10 +, my son had no problems building/displaying. The build isn't hard, with most of the pieces being large (on a Lego-brick scale). The yellow tiles for Master Wu's face go on snugly, as well as the special printed pieces for his clothing. I think the best part is the white beard - the curly tip at the end really gives this character a lot of personality!
As for after-building, there isn't much to do with Master Wu. If you had the other NINJAGO BrickHeadz, Lloyd the Green Ninja, then maybe you could have some role-playing. Otherwise, there's not much to do after building except display it. Even so, it still sits proudly beside my son's other NINJAGO sets. He had a lot of fun comparing the BrickHeadz version to the Minifigure version! (It's really realistic, from the hat to the beard to the printing on the clothes!)
In conclusion, this set would be great for BrickHeadz collectors or as a cute add-on to a large NINJAGO collection. Otherwise, if you aren't into either themes, then you might want a different set."
"I bought 6 different sets of BrickHeadz to serve as party favors for my daughter's birthday. Although she's not a big fan of Frozen, the Olaf was the reason I bought this set. He's so cute, with bunny teeth and stick-hair!
I like the design of BrickHeadz, with the obvious shape of the set being squares/rectangles, but I do wish they had more playability. My 8-year-old son had a Batman BrickHeadz, but after a while, he lost interest of the static character and dust started forming. Now, he's lost the whole thing! Anyways, the Anna has a lot of great details, such as three new printed pieces (the design on her dress, her collar, and her freckles!) and her braids look realistic! The use of smooth pieces in her hair and cape give the character lots of texture and dimension. They could look great as a decoration, or some office toy to look at. While the build is not challenging, I would recommend giving this to older kids. Since these BrickHeadz sets mostly remain unmoving, older children who don't enjoy "playing' as much will like collecting these.
A quick notice - the eyes of these BrickHeadz are not nearly as bright as shown on the box - the white part is slightly gray-ish.
Overall, this set is a great addition to any Frozen or Lego lover's collection! It's a quick and fun build, and accurately depicts the characters from the movie!"
"This set is one of my 8-year-old son's favorite sets. It has a swinging, wobbly bridge and under the bridge, there's some tiny monkey bars that the characters can hang on while dueling. I think it accurately depicts the scene from the NINJAGO movie. My son was able to play out the part where Garmadon pushes Master Wu into the rushing river below. For a price of around 25-30 dollars, this set offers lots of cute details and play value. The torches and creepy scorpions are a good addition. It would have been better if there were stairs or at least a rocky slope leading up to the bridge. Then the minifigures wouldn't have "jump" up the mountain. This set includes Master Wu, Kai, and Garmadon. My son's favorite ninja is Kai, so he was really happy to see him in this set. Since Kai has the elemental power of fire, my son also wants to have a power that can shoot fire. As for the cage made out of bamboo, it actually looks pretty much like bamboo. I would recommend this for a friend or a birthday present for someone."
