Looks great from the outside!
" I bought this set for the LEGO Ideas Test Lab competition. I'm not really sure what I was expecting, but I was surprised at the robustness of the main model. I also wasn't expecting such a well-working function, but I have to say that it doesn't look good with the wings forward at all, kind of defeating the purpose.
Then I built the other two models, and, well, those were disappointing. For a small model, I would expect to have similar or at least neutral color pieces for the inside, for use with the other models on the outside. But this has seemingly random colors on the inside (like you would see on a huge set to keep things cheap), and it shows up quite a bit in the alternates.
So if you want the colors on the outside, go somewhere else; You'll only get a few with this.
But hey! If you want a cool jet on your desk, then go for it!
I hope this is helpful!
PS: The front end looks crude as well. Take a second look at the photos.

Good Set and Piece Selection
" This is a good set for people looking for lots of green and dark green parts, as well as the new small joint pieces. Putting together the Rex was the most fun, and the Pterodactyl was good, but I was a little disappointed in the playability of the Triceratops. I am comparing this set to 31032 Red Creatures, my first and favorite 3 and 1 set. If you have the chance to get that, do. I would consider this one my second favorite.
I hope this is helpful.

Great design, poor playability
" First off, great packaging. Not as big a box as I thought for a 2700pc. set. I received mine with the boxes switched around compared to that of the first people to get it, but no biggy, you can still do it. The instructions/history book is MASSIVE, but once you start building it's not so surprising. It's huge, but the instructions are also simple, which makes for thick book. In the LEGO video showcasing the Porsche for the first time they said it was full of Porsche history, but the twelve or so pages of history are of the LEGO Porsche.
On to the model: It's big like I said, longer than the box, and taller than the box is thick. At first glace it looks really good, once you compare it to the actual GT3 it's got quite a few aesthetic flaws (I kind of like the LEGO version better!). It's too long, especially the front end. The back is blocky and has some holes, and you don't get the tight agressive "stance" of the real car, more of a low slung lax feel like an LP Murcielago.
Some cool details though, like the double front grill supports and I LOVE the white signal lights below the panels. Interior is very nice, as well as the engine and real spoiler.
FUNCTIONS:
The gearbox take work to, well... work well. Afterwards it's a lovely thing to feel as you push the car along. You can't really see the pistons moving but it just requires some disassembling. The bottom is covered which is good in that it looks more realistic but you can't see all the gears turning in unison.
THE STEERING! The wheel is hard to get a hold of unless you take out the seat, and once you do there's a LOT of backlash. I really wish they had incorporated a gear somewhere on the hood or roof. This alone take half of the playability away. I will use those wheels to DEATH though!
Suspension on the back isn't BAD, but the front... it might as well just bend from the flex of the chassis. I guess this is a supercar at 1:8 scale though, so it's not like it's going to have a ton. But the body is lower than a RS, so it's more of R. Also have you ever hear of a Technic set where the wheels rub against the fenders? Just enough to get annoying...
Yeah, so a good set overall but once to get to the details it excites and disappoints at the same time. The reason I recommend this is for all the new pieces it gives.
