"I bought this kit on sight, as I am a paratransit bus driver for my regional public transit system. The wheelchair was a unique feature and resonated with me as in my profession, I deal with them all the time to help elderly and handicapped individuals ride public transit. The extra structures serve well to adorn empty space on "road" baseplates to make the little Lego city in my basement fill in a bit better.
Beyond my love for Lego and the vehicle amusing me in a close-to-home way, I like it because it fills in a basic common sight in towns and cities. I wish the bicycles stayed on the back rack better. Our buses have front mounted racks, and I can see how front racks would not work on this model. I'm a collector who doesn't really "play" with the sets as much as I just enjoy posing them, manipulating them occasionally, and setting up scenes in the basement. These kits go alongside kits I still have from the 1980's such as the Exxon station and motorcycle shop, so it's nice to see "downtown" elements like this continue to fill in, in spite of the favorable change to 6-wide from the older 4-wide sets."
