Amazing set...
" I missed out on the first Republic Gunship when it was released, and when I saw this new one I just had to get it. I can understand that to some it may be expensive, but it is definitely worth it.
There is just so much packed into it and so much play potential. The actual model itself is brilliant made, sturdy and very nice to look at. There are 2 domes, one on each wing which can fit a single Clone each. The cockpit is split in two and each well-designed section has enough room for a single Clone.
Immediatly below that. there is panels which lift up to reveal a command-post type thing which can be taken out and fits 2 Clones. Behind that, there's a large tube for placing your injured Clones into which is kept in place by clever design of 2 flaps which lift up to release the tube (much like the command post).
There are 2 forward facing turrets which can be aimed in many directions, along with a tail gun which has the same functionality. On the top, there are 8 flick-fire rockets which are simple and easy to operate. There is a set of doors, one large one small, on each side of the Gunship which reveal the compartment which can fit a speeder (which comes with it) and about 8/9 Clones if you want them 'stuck-in' on studs, and many more if you just want to cram them in (probably around 15 in that case), along with a weapons rack to place 4 blasters in. A ramp also folds down from the back to allow your troops or the speeder to disembark. The wings are also very sturdy and can be folded up to allow easy access to the crew compartment or for storage.
Overall, I am very, very happy with this set. There is just so much play potential there and there's so many small things which add to the overall quality of this excellent model.

Excellent base for any model...
" This may seem like an expensive purchase just for a big grey baseplate, BUT it is actually very useful. It makes it easy to build on, and there is lots of space! You could built a city on it! Whether you are a serious Lego builder like me, or someone who likes to build smaller stuff, I can guarantee that this baseplate will come in handy. "

" I got this set for my birthday to go along with my republic drop ship and AT-OT walker. The AT-TE includes these lego minifigures: Anakin, Ashoka, Captain Rex, Rotta the Hutt, Clone Trooper, and Battle Droid. This set includes a droid speeder, including the AT-TE. The AT-TE has four guns in front, two hidden missles hideing under two of those guns, a cockpit, a co-pilot seating which seats two, a main gun on top, two guns in back, and a passenger compartment which seats four! It also comes with a one blue and one green lightsaber, two Commando pistols, body armor, and two machine guns! This is best set because it can even walk! This is worth every penny you pay for it. "

Nice little set...
" This set is a must buy for any Star Wars lego fan.
You get three rare figures Darth Vader battle damaged(previously only available with the Rogue Shadow, which sold out recently),a great version of the snowtrooper, and the sweet shadow trooper minifig. The only con with this set is the price, but these minifigs are worth buying.

Brilliant figures, cheap plastic....
" The first thing that struck me when I received this set was the Royal Guard. I own 6211, the old Star Destroyer set, which came with two Royal Guards, and even without having the pieces side my side, the Royal Guard from the magnet set looks cheap. Why? The red plastic used on the magnet sets is low quality and is somewhat transparent.
The arms on all figures are also printed (look by where the arm joins the body), which is not standard on sets figures.
The minifigures for the fridge set are great minifigures, especially if you missed out on owning them, but these are not of the same quality as those included in regular sets. The plastic is of inferior quality, although not as noticeable on Leia and Boba (red is a hard color to get right and easily reflects quality).
For the price, you should get the same quality as what you get in a regular set. £2.50 per figure (assuming 60p for each magnetic stand) is steep when you're getting an inferior product. TLG has always stood for quality, and this set does not meet those standards. I would prefer TLG save money by not assembling these figures but deliver the same quality. Which brings to question, why are these building toys pre-assembled?
If you don't have the figures, I recommend it, but with some reservations

Darth Maul...
" This is a must have for all the fans of Star Wars.
You got the chance to put your hands on very rare and cool figures. The pros of this kind of sets is that you can decide either to use the magnetic base to stick'em almost everywhere or just play with the mini figures! The magnets are not glued to the minifigure so you can just pull'em off and play along.

Nice little set...
" I bought these figures as they had been reduced and i'm glad i did. These figures are awesome for army building! The fact that this set contains "generic" figures is great, so all can be used and you don't end up with multiple main characters. "

Best birthday present ever....
" My girlfriend bought me this set for my birthday, it was meant to be a surprise as my birthday isn't till next week however when i saw it get delivered i pestered her consistently and I'm glad i did. I was breathless when I finished building this set! It features a crew of six clones and two rare pilot figures! The AT-OT Walker is so cool! It is pretty much the same size as the AT-TE Walker and features the handle bar for lifting and carrying! It also features a lot of seats to carry your clones into battle! In the back of the walker, there is a folded up walkway which could be unfolded so that the Clones could walk out! Also in the seating area, there are sniping spots where you could stick the clone's blaster riffle so the Clone could snipe. Here are some pros and cons for the walker.
Pros:
Awesome eight leg walker
Eight Clones
Lots of features
Sniping spots
Sixteen seats for Clones
Cons:
Stickers
Now on to the Dropship. It features many cool pieces and sticker decals. It is very detailed and accurate to the movies. When not playing with, the arms that hold on to the walker hold up the ship so it doesn't fall over. It has cool Wampa and Clone ripping off droid head decals to choose from! Inside the front part under the pilot seat is a full rack of flick-fire missiles and under the wings there are flick-fire missiles too! Here are some pros and cons.
Pros:
Awesome Dropship
Cool sticker decals
Very accurate to the movies
Pick-up feature works very well
Cons:
stickers

Nice set but overpriced...
" When I saw this set on a video it looked like it was going to be a great buy. Once it came out, I was disappointed to see the price of 24.99 (luckily a friend bought me it for my birthday). It doesn't have that many pieces and isn't the most amazing set Lego has created. The minifigures in this set are decent. It includes an Anakin Skywalker with a double sided face (one with scarf around his mouth and the other without it) an also includes a Thi-Sen which has amazing detail. The speeder itself is superb. It has a new design for the cockpit, a hidden cargo hold and resembles the speeder from season 1 episode 15 of Star Wars the Clone Wars. Overall a great buy. "

Absolutely amazing...
" I bought this set as a birthday treat for myself, that and to make my older brother jealous (and trust me after he saw it built he ordered one the next day). I am very impressed with this set. The minifigures alone make this a worthwhile set. I debated whether this set would be worth the money, and I have to say it is worth every penny. It is very well constructed, very solid and plenty of room to actually use the space inside. The detail is also excellent inside and there has clearly been a lot of thought put into designing this.
I will never understand the logic that Lego use in packaging lego pieces. Best to have some form of system to sort pieces out or you will spend more time searching than building. But then that is half the fun. There were 4 seperate boxes inside the main box, and one spiral bound instruction booklet, about 260+ pages.
Overall, I think this is my favourite lego set. Set a few days aside to build it at your leisure. I didn't find anything too complicated in the build, so I think that people younger than 16 would build this without difficulty. 5 stars fully deserved!
