A solid little chopper
" This is a set that exceeded my expectations. I wasn’t that excited by the box initially, but as I went through the main build, I was constantly impressed by how solid it was and how satisfying it was to put together, and by the end of it I had a much more favourable impression of this little helicopter. The cockpit and turbines are nice details, but the greatest strength of this build is just how incredibly solid and stable it is.
This set does not accommodate minifigures, so it doesn’t fit in particularly well with the City line, but on its own it doesn’t really need them. There are a few moving components, but spinning the rotor is the only real play feature, though that’s probably enough for a set of this size. As mentioned, the build is quite solid, so it will likely survive the inevitable drops and crashes of young flyers!
This is a very straightforward build that should pose no difficulties in construction. Due to how tight the build is though, getting it apart is a bit trickier than putting it together, and a brick separator will definitely help!
I’m a big fan of these creator sets. You can enjoy this one as a stand-alone, making it a good gift for someone who doesn’t have any/much LEGO or as a nice complement to your bucket of creator bricks. "

Into the wilds!
" While the 4x4 truck has a good colour scheme and some nice features for the scale (I especially like the pieces suggesting mirrors), what’s more attractive about the set is the selection of accessories. Between the truck, kayak, camera, and frog, there is great potential for play experience.
This is a great set to play with, both indoors and outdoors. It really has everything you need to have a little adventure, driving out to the water, kayaking around, and taking pictures of things. I like the sets with cameras as they encourage you to use a real camera with them, taking real pictures of the set and things the LEGO adventurer might photograph in the environment.
This is a smooth, easy, and satisfying build. The only challenge here is getting the six stickers to align perfectly. "

Crocodiles and snakes and frogs, oh my!
" The 3-figure starter sets are just great, and this is one of my favourites. There’s just so much to do with all the stuff that’s included! Obviously, this goes well with the other jungle themed sets, but it’s absolutely fine on its own, too! With plenty of hazardous wildlife and interesting accessories (camera, machete, magnifying glass, snake catcher) to play around with, there are dozens of scenarios to play out as the jungle explorers search for the lost treasure of gold coins. The scientist figure has two expressions, and the scared expression is just great seen through the magnifying glass (which actually does magnify a little bit!). You can have him freaking out over everything they discover!
Both of the builds – the boat and the tree – are very simple and go together quickly and easily. I like the colours and the smooth design of the boat, as well as the fact that it’s able to carry all 3 minifigs along with some cargo despite its small size. The tree is a nicely asymmetrical, organic build that uses several different foliage pieces and even manages to include a little nook for hidden treasure (or a frog’s hidey hole if you prefer!). "

Drone mission go!
" Design: This set looked super sweet to me the first time I saw it and stuck in my head for many weeks until I finally bought it. The overall design and colour scheme are great, and there were several “Wow! Neat!” moments when certain pieces came together during the main build. The two extra builds are fine, but the main build really stands out! I also love that there is room to add a minifig to the drone and boat builds if desired.
Play Experience: With the ability to pose the camera and landing gear, spin the rotors, and lift the windshield to put a pilot inside, there is plenty to interact with on the main build. The landing gear is claw-like and able to pick things up or hold onto some interesting perches. It integrates well with City sets, including the Coast Guard and Arctic ranges due to its colours, as well as adding interesting flying vehicle options when combined with other Creator sets. On its own, the set is fun, but it’s definitely better when you add a pilot! The swamp boat, as advertised, does not float, and while it can fit a minifig, the space is very tight unless it’s standing.
Level of Difficulty: While this is a fairly small and straightforward build, it’s still a little more complex than your average City set of this size due to the number of technic pieces that might frustrate little fingers. Young builders may need some help with the drone rotor assemblies at the end of the build (and especially with disassembly). Adult builders should have no troubles, but make sure that you have good lighting in order to see the difference between the light and dark grey pieces in the instructions.
Value for money: At $13 CAD, this feels just right. Many similarly priced City sets include a minifigure and an accessory, but all of the value in this set goes directly into the vehicle, and it turns out to be worth it. "
