Stickers have no place in sets like this
" It's great that Lego is now putting out classic Jurassic Park sets. Jurassic Park is a part of many older Lego fan's childhoods and is undoubtedly the superior film. This T-rex model is engaging and looks fantastic, the gate is hefty, functional and full of neat little surprises for the die-hard fan, the minifigures are impeccably detailed. Hammond's cheeky surety is perfectly etched across his face, Ian Malcolm is sweating with fear from his t-rex encounter, Nedry's alternate venom-sprayed face is a great touch. I could go on and on about the minifigures, it doesn't even bother me that they were not able to include a jeep.
Yes, this could have been a slam dunk, except for one fatal flaw...the iconic Jurassic Park logo on the gate is NOT a printed piece, but two stickers on two medium-sized tiles. This means that if you cannot precisely get it on, your set will look bad. Even the most dexterous of us will find it not looking quite right. What's more, in several years, the sticker will undoubtedly peel and you will be out of luck unless you managed to buy an extra off eBay or BrickLink.
To me, this is unacceptable for a set that costs $250.00, especially since for Lego Ideas, they were perfectly willing to do a fully-printed 8x16 tile for the pop-up book cover. It makes no sense and I am very disappointed in Lego. "
