" There's always something in the Lego City that needs repairing and the Cement Mixer is here to fix your footpaths , buildings, train tracks and anything else you can think of.
The Cement Mixer actually dispenses the Lego pieces which by far impressed me the most the first time I turned the barrel and the bits fell into the wheel barrow. The detail in this model is quite impressive being able to swivel the chute to get the pieces to fall out of the Cement Mixer, being able to actually dispense those pieces and lift the drivers cab just like a real truck!
I bought this piece to look like it was repairing something and just have it there to look at, but instead I find myself zooming it around my set to different locations to fix different pieces. A great addition to any set and a fun build. "

You'll Need More
" I was silly and only purchased two boxes to start a set not realising I couldn't even make one loop which meant a second trip to the shops and me going overboard buying more than I needed and is really practical, I now need a dedicated Lego room.
This is a well built product as per Lego standards you expect, the flexible track is interesting but not suited to me as I like everything perfectly lined up, in saying that though it is good to have a little bit of flexibility in your track layout, heaven forbid you or someone else should accidentally kick or walk into the track it doesn't all go flying across the room. It also means you can have some crazy and random track layouts. "

A Simple Station
" This is exactly as shown, a very small, very simple station.
I didn't have a station for my now growing Lego train set and needed one so I could stop the train(s) at something for when it gets an engine. I only really looked at the front of the box and paid little attention to the detail expecting it to be similar to a station I previously had in a Lego monorail set (item: 6399).
I was surprised to find the cool little taxi included with two minifigures. I was however a little bit disappointed in the amount of prefabrication on this station. The stairs on the station are an all-in-one piece as are the sides to the pedestrian bridge which defeats the purpose of the learning value for kids building using different techniques. This is possibly relevant for the age range of 5-12 but more so to the younger aged audience and whilst it does take some of the fun out of building the station it does make it a stronger more durable station for heavy hands and the set is labeled as 'Modular Build, Easy Start'. For me though I would have liked to see some slightly more technical instructions to building the steps and sides of the pedestrian bridge from scratch, that's how Lego was when I was a kid, a little bit difficult sometimes but a fun challenge.
With only four minifigures the set lacks some playability but on a plus side will add four pieces of strait track to your collection, younger kids will enjoy this set but it may be too basic for kids closer to 12 years old. "

An Amazing Train
" This train was amazing fun to build, there were lots of techniques I hadn't used before and the instructions were very clear. Once completed it's a very rewarding train, it looks slick and the setup of the train and characters will ensure that kids have fun playing with this.
It's been a while since I've purchased new Lego and I was immediately drawn to this train, I knew what I was purchasing and what else I would want to purchase once the train is completed and this is where the set is let down. Power functions and track should be included as a standard when Lego create a train, at the very least it should contain some straight track for those who would like to show case the finished product.
I not only find the lack of power functions as a low point to this product but the fact that I need to purchase all of the individual power functions separately. It would be easier and a better customer experience to pick up everything I need off the shelf in one box if I choose to. Parts do still need to be made available separately of course but this set lacks track and power functions both are expensive to buy individually, the cost is comparable to the cost to purchase another train.
With that being the only downside to this product I would still whole heartedly recommend this product to anyone looking for a challenge or just the enjoyment of the finished train to show off. "
