"Remind me to never put on the Mask of Control, no matter how desperate I am. Poor Umarak has traded in his eight-point stag horns for a ginormous pair of ram's horns formed from the Mask of Control, now twisted and gnarled with a set of fangs set to destroy. He's got a big old chest, ripped arms and shredder claws, and stretched-out legs that appear to hurt a lot. Besides that, I cannot wait for the Beast War combiner model. He's gonna rip you up if you don't pick him up!"

Glass Cannon, Meet Crystal Gauntlet
"Quake Beast reminded me of the RPG term "glass cannon" - not in the sense of what it means, but as to what it would physically be. His big honker of a crystal boxing arm and unique boxing gimmick are interesting to say the least, and the lumbering brute just screams "born from the earth." Too bad the "slimed" Mask of Earth - or any of the "slimed" masks, for that matter - can fit onto the Beasts faces. Maybe they just drain the power out of them or something. Anyway, I think that he should be recieved with open arms - or he'll get you..."

It Came from the Black Lagoon... and He's Shocking
"Storm Beast has something running for him and his kin. They have a unique tail-to-arm linkup that may seem awkward at first, but you'll get the hang of him eventually. I do wish that the "slimed" Mask of Ice had a lime-green or light-blue stud to pop into the empty lens socket, though, but that is forgivable. Also, new navy-blue armor pieces make him a must-get for MOC makers. He also cool in the fact that he's all feet and no hands (it helps make the claws). I think that he's well worth the price, odd though he is."

Let Loose the Fires of War!
"Lava Beast is supposed to fly, huh? Not with the so-called "wings" he has. But regardless, the Lava Beasts are certainly a burning, rocky menace to be reckoned with. The "slimed" Mask of Fire can fit well in the beast's hand (thank you ratchet joints!), you just gotta fenagle around with it. The new Beast Mask is cool, and it gives Lava Beast an almost devilish appearance, what with the Rock-em-Sock-em Robots-esque jaw and trans-orange horns. I highly think that even though he may not fly well, I think that if Lava Beast believes hard enough, he'll soar to new heights... only for the Toa to smack 'em down."

If I Am To Have A Mask, It Shall Be One I Respect
"Managed to pick up Dr. Manhattan - er, Ekimu the Mask Maker - at my local Toys R Us about a week before the release date. Lucky me, as he is sure to please the fans of the new Bionicle, young and old alike. Let's have a look. Ekimu has been working out over the past few months after his battle with the Skull Grinder last year, and the results are great. He features a new transparent light blue chestplate with all six Toa symbols, and an all-new seventh symbol of an anvil and hammer. He comes with two masks - a powered-up transparent light blue Mask of Creation, and a gunmetal-to-transparent-red-orange Hunter Mask (which will make a fine sub for the Mask of Ultimate Power, IMO). He features the same two-piece torso joint that all six Uniter Toa have, and wields an upgraded Crystal Hammer of Power and a charged-up Sawblade Shield. He has lots of trans-light-blue and gold, and is sure to be a hit with the kids. So do I think Ekimu is worth your $14.99? Yes, yes I do. But, I can't help but wonder... Who masks the Mask Maker? Hmm..."
