Details are Awesome
" Bought this set, and it's wonderful. The kids could do the mini figs, couch and evil robot things. The ship on the other hand... The details are awesome, but there are a ton of them. I agree with the age limit on this set. It took about 3 nights to put it together, since I have other things that need my time.
Overall not the biggest ship Lego has made, but is very detailed and has a bunch of fun play features. However if your buying for any kid under 14, be prepared to help build; and supervise play.

Nice set
" Really enjoy all the attention to details in this set. We had to get it to go with all of our other Lego pirate stuff.
Set is a relaxing build, with no painfully difficult parts. They all fit nicely and the characters are very neat looking. Can't wait to see them in the movie!
Only thing I can see as an issue is some of the joints may wear out after excessive/hard play... However they are made to be played with so let them enjoy it.

Very happy with it
" Size seems to be a common 'con' on this model. Yes it is smaller than the Queen Anne's Revenge, but it is actaully more correct. The Revenge was a large war ship or Frigate, while the Black Pearl is a smaller, faster Galleon. They display great together, and with other ships.
I found once again a good balance between play access and detail to the ship in the movie. The model holds very true to the movie ship within brick limitations. They even made the curly moldings on the quarter deck walls.
We enjoy the access to th cabin by the side walls. Not for really young children, however the whole family can enjoy playing together with it. Displays very nice, but is very tall; around 20+ inches.

Wonderful Ship
" Beautiful ship when complete, it was worth the price. There is a nice balance between play access and staying true to the details of the ship in the movie. Not for really young children, however is fun for the whole family to get involved with. Looks great as a display piece; however it is large, around 22 inches tall. "
