Awesome set and build!
" My 6 year old picked this out and built it by herself. She loved the process of building it. She had some issues and had to double-back (this is a good thing as it helps the learning process) but eventually was thrilled with the outcome. She mentioned it could/should have come with an additional mini-fig but for the cost and play experience I think the set came with exactly what it needed to. This is a surprise hit in my house! "

Chewie, let's see what this piece of junk can do
" This Lego set is a lot of fun to both build and play with. I built this with my 8, 5 and 2 year olds and they loved adding it to our Star Wars collection to play with, especially the Falcon and Throne Room sets.
The Pros:
The mini figs selection - we loved the Han, Leia and light brown Chewie fur highlights
The seats - the kids love that everyone has a spot in the ship
The details in the cargo area and cockpit
The wings - there are solid and work well - we've never had to repair them.
The Cons:
Landing stilts do not lock into place causing the ship to rock back or forward when not perfectly balanced.
The cargo doors easily snap off while playing with the ship.
The top fin isn't secured as the tip is easily knocked off while playing.
No bad guys - this is a common complaint among sets. Either you get all good guys or all bad guys with these mid-range sets.
This is a great set and is definitely a great value for time spent building and playing with it. "

So...you have a sister
" My 8 year old and 5 year old girls helped construct this set.
We were impressed with the layout and the construction process. It was fun to watch it come together.
We love the features - particularly the lightsaber launch (a nod to the Revenge of the Sith novel where Palpatine hides his saber somewhere in his room).
The mini-figs are perfect especially the new Vader.
The downsides:
The kids found under the stairs to be a little crammed for a fig to hide under and my five year old wishes the set would fold up even more somehow.
Overall, this is probably my favorite of the mid-size Star Wars playsets. If you can't get yourself to buy the Ewok Village or Death Star then pick this up. It's fun to build and the kids have a great time playing with it (Dads too).
Now on to the Shuttle set... "
