A cool set. . . a bit pricy though
" This is a good set. I find the door locking mechanism really neat, and I like how the comn tower tower collapses when doing so. The set looks really, very realistic, especially the foliage and stickers. The scale looks good to me, although the interior portion is far to small. The pull-out weapon rack is cool, but not necessary. The exploding floor tile function is my favorite, mainly because there are two thermal detonators to indicate why the panels exploded. It is cleverly made and well hidden, which I am grateful for. The Scarif Stormtroopers look well-molded and realistic. Captain Cassian Andor does not quite fit in with Jyn Erso, because she is in her disguise, but he isn't. I would have preferred to see Blaze Malbus, Chirrut Imwe, and some rebel troopers rather than the two rebels included. The battling is done by them, not by Cassian and Jyn. But all this put aside, this is a really cool set. The only thing that is not cool is the price.
If the amount that this set was sold at in the UK was used here, it would be approximately 55.00 USD. Although it is priced at 49.99 USD, I feel that it should be no more expensive than the A-Wing. 30.00 USD sounds reasonable to me. For something that size, it really should not be priced at what it is now.
Also, just one more thing. I would be much happier to buy this set if it came with an X-Wing, even if Lego made it more expensive. We haven't seen an X-Wing since 2012, and we are long overdue, seeing as it is the most iconic fighter in the Star Wars Universe.
All this put aside, however, this is a good set. It is great for children, after all, the play features are fantastic. In conclusion, this is a great set!

Krennic is missing!
" This is decent set. I am very happy that Lego included two clip-on stud shooters, which are quite rare, but other than that, there isn't much incentive in buying this set. The fuselage/cockpit section is really lumpy and out of scale, and the wings are a bit short. But really, all this is not the problem. The real problem is that Krennic is missing. Where did he go? Rather than getting Krennic, who is a key figure in Krennic's shuttle, we get an Imperial Pilot, who was never seen in Rogue One anyway. It is a good minifigure, nonetheless. The printing is good, and so is the cap. Despite this, it is rather disappointing not to have Krennic in his own shuttle.
In conclusion, this set is okay. I wouldn't say mediocre, just not great.

A nice little fighter
" This is a great build. It really captures the angles and proportions of the fastest fighter in the Rebel Fleet.
Among my favorite modifications from the 2013 A-Wing are:
1. The angled dorsal fins in the rear of the fighter.
2. The new technique used for building the engines.
3. The ammunition/cargo transportation apparatus.
4. The inclusion of Lando Calrissian.
All of these factors make for a new and improved A-Wing, and they definitely add, not detract, from the shape and scale of the fighter itself. But then again, no set is perfect (yet.)
For me, this set works really well. Light, durable, and good-looking. However, the play value does not quite meet status quo. Really, all you have are two spring loaded shooters. This does not concern me, because in my opinion, how the model looks is more important. But for children who like to "play" with sets, this could definitely use more play value and action features.
In conclusion, this is a great set!

A Blast from the Past!
" I am so glad to see the Y-Wing Starfighter once again made available! This is a really great set and is recommended to those of you who are fans of Rogue One or even the Original Trilogy.
The size and scale is spot on, and the detail and texturing on the fuselage is accurate and adds to the model. My only objection to the design is the spring loaded shooters. The rear end of the projectile pokes out from under the cockpit, and looks unrealistic. This can be easily fixed by removing the projectile altogether. The only other things are:
a) The gun turret has to be rotated out of the way in order for the cockpit hatch to open.
b) There is a hole in the back of the Y-Wing to load the "bombs" into the bomb bay. It can be fixed by placing a medium gray tile right over it.
Apart from these three things, this set is really good. I am very appreciative of the ammunition/cargo transportation apparatus, which looks really neat. Also, the minifigures, especially Admiral Reddis, look fantastic.
One thing that I hope Lego will do is come up with a new X-Wing. The A-Wing and Y-Wing were just released, and the B-Wing was just retired. But we haven't seen a X-Wing since 2012. The four iconic rebel fighters would look great on display together, so I hope that Lego decides to release a new X-Wing.
In conclusion, this is a great set and is recommended to all!

Great set. . . a bit pricy
" This is a really great set. I think that Lego put a lot of time and effort into preparing this. The play value exceeds all expectations, especially when it comes to the new rebel artillery and ion cannon. Each module was well made and well chosen, although some are lacking detail. The only real setbacks with the builds are:
a) The back of the ion cannon is totally exposed.
b) The shield generator is supposed to have four generators, not three.
c) The blast doors have some difficulty closing, and sometimes requires some nudging to open completely.
Apart from this, the builds are pretty good. Each has individuality and was well chosen. I however, think it would be a good idea to include textured white baseplates white baseplates to bring everything together as a base. If you were to try this, it would be best to leave the cave, shield generator and ion cannon outside. I understand that for Lego to turn this into a full base, it would probably exceed the current price of 249.99 USD, but I would rather pay 300.00 USD for a realistic, grand, and complete rebel base than pay 249.99 USD for this one. A few more tips and recommendations:
1. Purchasing a few parts from Pick a Brick to make the fourth generator.
2. Building realistically textured walls and a roof to surround your baseplates (tricky, but can be done!)
3. Buying an AT-AT or two off of Brick Link or eBay (after all, it is ann assault.)
Overall, I am pleased with the builds. The command center, ion cannon, and shield generator are all really good. The blast doors look good from the front. . . not much on the back though. The snowspeeder uses the same design as the previous one, so kind of a let down there. Despite this, all of the artillery looks really nice, and has play value beyond words. If you are a collector, this isn't exactly what you would expect. It's really more of a giant play set. The mini figures are really good looking, especially the two droids. There are only two things to complain about here:
1. Where is Princess Leia and Chewbacca? They are important figures in the original trilogy, and necessary to this set.
2. Wedge Antilles and Wes Janson are identical twins. Apart from the helmet, everything about them is a mirror image.
Really, other than this, the minifigures are spectacular. Meticulous detail, careful printing, and neat accessories.
I won't say to much on this issue, because it has been brought up and re-iterated many times by Lego fans, but this set is extremely pricy for what you get. On paper, the price to part ratio looks appropriate. But when fully built, it looks quite small. 249.00 USD just won't cut it. Something like 200.00 USD might be reasonable.
In conclusion, this set is really good. A bit pricy, but good-looking and fun to play with.
