Awesome set
" It was mentioned above - the finished product is on the smaller side. Which I find a trifle disappointing but did not seem to bother my daughter. The thing that set me off was the fact that this set makes the fifth one out of seven bought in 2015 that was missing pieces. And fifth out of five with over 500 pieces. At the end there were leftover pieces but not the ones needed. Two tiny blocks were missing from bag 1. Not a great start of your Christmas morning. I was able to find replacements but this is not what I expect with the price tag attached.
The portal feature is absolutely amazing!
The age recommendation 8-12 is off. My daughter is not yet six but the only piece I had to help with was the portal.
The capes look much improved and made of better material than the capes in some other series. I'm concerned about Skyra's cape/collar durability, but two thumbs up on the design.
Overall I think this is a shining star in Lego collection. "

The most disappointing Lego experience so far
" What spoiled the whole thing was a missing part. It took 31 (yes, you are reading that right - thirty one) calendar days for the part to arrive to Canada. My son put it together in a matter of minutes right until the missing piece. So I had it on my coffee table almost finished for a month. Keeping that in mind, I think my overall rating is generous.
I do not think it is that fragile. There are points at which it can be manipulated with no harm and there are parts where if you touch it, it crumbles.
I find most new Star Wars sets to be rather lacking in the quality department.
