An nice additon to Main Street
" The Brick Bank is a nice addition to the Modular line up - great to have another corner piece too.
The kit has interesting build ideas, esp the shared wall between the laundromat and the bank. The roof line was well done and a bit of a departure from the other kits in the line. There are some excellent printed windows for the bank front and huge pile of very nice sand green windows. The locking safe was clever too.
But overall I'm only going to give it a B+ grade.
Why?
The size - it's too short and too small.
The street needs another 'tall' building to balance the Town Hall and this would have been the one to do it. Banks are supposed to be big and imposing. This should have been at least 3, if not 4 floors taller. And it should have filled the whole baseplate, no laundromat needed. The laundromat could have been saved for another 'Pet Shop' or 'Detective Office' type kit.
And that is one sickly looking tree out front.

In a word - stellar!
" This is easily the best of the Modular line released to date. I was a (and still am) a huge fan of the Palace Cinema and thought that couldn't be beat. However this new kit is just stellar.
The level of detail is just amazing, so many cool little micro-builds - and the creative use of parts is fantastic. There are techniques in the build that I'll be using (stealing) for my own MOCs in the future.
With the abundance of olive green and dark blue elements this kit would also be a decent, albeit expensive, parts pack.
Nice work Jamie, can't wait to see how you top this one!

Sticker madness...
" Never again. By that I mean the next container ship will stay on the shelf at the Lego store as I walk on by.
Let me state that I love the ship, looks great now that it's complete and is sitting on the shelf next to my other Maersk models. Makes a really nice addition to the collection. The little touches like ice skates for radar antenna, and machine guns for cranes - really clever.
So why only 4 stars? One word - stickers. Seriously Lego? 126 tiny little stickers!? What were you thinking!? My total build time was just a shade over 3 hours - 2 hours of that was getting all the stickers on and aligned.
Drove me crazy.

I would have gladly paid $30-50(US) more for this kit if it had printed parts over stickers.
