"While building the inside wasn't exactly fun, R2D2 overall was super fun to build. He was cute, and a good size. I overall have some issues with his side paneling pulling away, but not a huge issue. And it could be my fault but I don't think it is, it's only held on in 3 areas."
"Personally, because this is a UCS I don't think they should of weakened the overall structure to add the minimum "play features". The book, while cool, is SO overly big and obnoxious it's really unusable as a instruction manual, I had to use the pdf file for this (which I dislike). I normally do not sort my lego pieces (and I tend to buy the $300 sets for display: Hogwarts castle, cantina, jurassic park) but literally there are SO many pieces per steps it's impossible not to. Make sure you have a big space, I had to use my desk & a side table and still had to have the falcon on the floor besides me. With so many pieces, if you accidentally knock something off, good luck finding it again. This probably will be the biggest set I buy, like the Stranger Things build, this isn't my most favorite build so far. You gotta pay A LOT of attention to details or you may spend time reworking. I have done pieces (like the cantina) in a weekend, while this set has took me closer to a month to complete. Take your time, or place it in a room were animals cant be around, as certain sections can take hours to complete.
As someone who really likes to binge lego builds, I was really forced to slow down. At times I was frustrated, and sometimes a bit overwhelmed. I personally think I will stick to the smaller piece count builds. The end result is awesome and it DOES make it worth it. This is probably my "once in a lifetime" buy."
"So upon first opening this I realized my number 4 bag had been ripped and all the pieces were scattered throughout the box. No biggie. But the very first bag I had a missing piece!! There are two slope bricks, a smaller and larger, and was missing the smaller one. No other place it was used, so not user error. Then in the 3rd bag I also was missing a piece.. I had at least 6 missing pieces (I started to sort because I was convinced I was doing something wrong) and I had a couple pieces that were suppose to be "dark gray" that were light, or had bricks when I needed plates. Anyways, this has been my first set that has caused me many issues.
Onto the actual build, I just now finished the nintendo and I gotta say, I love it! Very good details. I wish there had been another "wire" from the back to connect to the tv. But minor issue. I so far love this set."
Such a cool item to have for Stranger Things fan's
"I have been eyeing this set up since it was first released but had other lego items on my list to buy. Once I saw this back up on the site I quickly snagged it. This set was fun (like all lego in my opinion) but was not exactly entertaining. Obviously you are building the same thing twice and therefore it was a very quick build. Anyone who is a fan of the show will love this set. Patience is needed to connect the trees."
