"I bought this for my adult daughter, but assembly really was a father-daughter experience over several Sundays, doing one or two of the 21 assembly segments during each of our sessions. The assembly was mostly straightforward with very few mishaps on our part. That being said, the mechanics of piano are a bit complex, and so assembly requires focus and care. We both loved the experience. This is a fun LEGO, and the age recommendation on the box seems reasonable. I had not expected the degree of detail that this amazing product provided, and as a lover of piano music and pianos, it was as close to perfect as it could be. Highly recommended."
"My adult daughter loves these things. Sometimes they sit around for months waiting for a special day to break the seal, as was the case with her Christmas gift. I thought an intermediate size architectural kit would be something we could open and do together. The Empire State Building was the perfect balance between something small enough to do and have fun with without getting bogged down in something that would take forever and sit around waiting for us to get motivated. There were virtually no challenges in putting this together, and it looked really great when completed--far better than the Eiffel Tower or the very weak and small Sydney Opera House. We had no missing parts (a few extra ones were there, but don't think we left anything out), and the instructions were easy to follow. This is definitely a kit that could be built by someone who had never attempted a LEGO project before."
