My favourite build so far!
" I was fortunate enough to receive a LOT of Lego this Christmas. This LeMans-style 24-Hour Racer was among the best sets I've ever assembled - and I've been a Legomaniac for about 60 years! This was a fun and challenging build that I put together over a weekend. The actual total build time was probably about 8 hours. I was amazed by the number of mechanized features, including the working gull-wing doors and engine compartment cover. I'm definitely going to get the 8293 Power Functions kit to power up everything. I just wish there was a kit that would let me convert this car to a fully functioning radio-controlled model. The play value of this kit is very high; an R/C racing add-on would only enhance it further. Please, Lego, may I have some more? "

" This is a challenging model with plenty of mechanical features that add to the fun. The fact that this "drag racer" can be built as either a "funny car" or, with downloaded instructions, as a top fuel "rail", is pretty cool, too. Instructions are also included to motorize the kit using an optional Power Functions electric motor. Both thumbs way up on this one. "
