Great display
" I was very pleased with the Ferrari F40 set, so I decided to start a collection, and this was the next on the list...
As with the f40, this is a beautiful looking Lego set that has some interesting features and a good building experience. It is not really a set to be played with but it looks fantastic on display (with or without the f40). The hood on this is my favourite part - you can see a lot of thought has gone into making this as close to the real car as possible, and they do a very good job! Some stickers are used for the back windows but otherwise it is all down to great Lego design.
Next on the list was the Mini Cooper and the vw camper van, but I went for the Caterham (sale) and the three I have so far look great together!
Unlike the other cars available, this (and mini cooper) are likely to be the only versions people you know may actually own - this would make a great novelty gift for those car owners as well as Lego collectors. "

Beautiful
" Growing up, the Ferrari F40 was one of those standout cars, so when I saw that Lego had developed this set, it was inevitable that i was going to own it!
Having got back into Lego when I became a father, I collected a lot of City sets so that we could share the experience together (and Duplo), but then I got Wall-E as a gift and realised Lego had come a long way since I was a child!
The build itself has a lot of interesting aspects to it, utilising pieces and advanced building techniques to create an instantly recognisable version of the F40.
It has some great features but this.(along with the other large cars) is a display piece to me, and a very good one at that, so I overlook playability for artistry, and this is amazing. "

Great display
" Having made the Ferrari f40 (one of my favourite cars) and vw beetle I have the start to a nice car collection, so when I saw this on sale (it wasn't next on the list), I didn't hesitate...
Compared to those two (which are both fantastic sets), this is not quite on the same level as far as the build goes and price-per-piece, but it looks just as good!
As a standalone set, this IS a stunning representation of the car it is based on, it is a fun build and the easily removable hood gives quick access to the engine (which is my favourite part of this set).
If you have the other large car sets (I intend to get the mini cooper and vw beetle too), this is a fantastic addition to those, so I highly recommend! Having seen it next to my first two, it would feel like something is missing now.
We are not given the option of rating display appearance, but this is 5 stars. "

Better than expected
" I bought this for my daughter to build after decorating our little tree.
She is getting to a stage where she can do most of the building work herself so i am happy with her progress with duplo...
... so the set itself! Its a quick little build but has loads of features and playability...
Santa's sleigh looks great and is actually quite sturdy when "flying". The window/door element has a little cavity to hide presents (although little hands may struggle to get more than one in (or out)) and doubles up as a ramp for the sled.
The tree is also surprisingly sturdy and the snowman was an instant hit (first build in the booklet).
Overall, it is a great looking set to have around over the Christmas period... also, the reindeers horns are rubbery, so safe for all ages!
If you are thinking about getting someone tbeir first duplo set, this would be a good place to start. "

" Having already purchased "arpund the world" I picked this up to go along with a family trip to the zoo.
Whilst not as vast as the other set, this one does have a nice little plane and animals that compliment the other, so my daughter was very happy with it. "

New tradition
" I bought this set for the festive period, where it will proudly sit at the base of the small tree me and my daughter decorate each year.
The train looks great but to get the most out of it, power functions are hifhly recommended...
Having bought another train set (exclusively for the parts), i followed the instructions at the back of the booklet and was very happy with the end result.
My biggest concern was that it loses some aesthetics when the parts are changed for the motorised version (the front two compartments are taken over), but when it is in motion (which is the important part) it looks great.
My favourite part pf this set is the micro-build "toys" particularly the train that sits at the base of the revolving tree.
Other festive sets will be added over the years, but this is the best place to start... I look forward to december when i put this on display for my daughter! "

Instant hit
" I bought this set for myself, but with the idea (as with all sets i buy) that my daughter could play with it.
The tracked racer itself is light, sturdy and looks good. It is a straightforward build and we have had great fun playing with it.
I plan to use the electronic parts on my wall-e set and some of my own creations.
Considering the electronic parts that come with this set, this is very good value, and i think it is a good technic set to start with.
In summary, it looks good, is great fun and is good value for money. "

Adventure time
" I fell in love with this set as soon as i saw it. I had been collecting any set i could for animals with the idea that me and my daughter could build our own zoo/jungle when she is old enough to play with regular lego...
I had no idea how much variety and playability duplo sets had until i saw this!
My favourite part of the set is the whale, while my daughters favourite is the plane, which happens to fit in with a game we play together - we "go on holiday" to different parts of the world and play a little themed game/puzzle before "flying" to the next location.
The instruction booklet is like a regular lego set. Each build has its own section and matching animals... think of it as multiple little sets in one... meaning this is a great middle step between duplo and regular lego. I plan to let her build the entire set (eventually) by taling breaks between sections.
Overall, very happy with this product, would highly reccommend and i will continue to add to it until we start our adventure with regular lego. "

It's what you make of it
" I bought this set for parts that I intended to use on my own creations.
The parts in this set are very good, lots of plates, ball & hinge pieces, SNOT pieces and other rare bricks. The colours are mostly a variety of red but that's stating the obvious :-P
As for the sets themselves, being experienced with these 3-in-1 sets, I always make the smaller one first and finish with the biggest one...
The Scorpion and the Snake - Not a fan of these personally, but I can see their appeal. Both look menacing if that's what you want. They have great articulation on their limbs and the snakes head in particular stands out for its design. Criticisms would be the frailty of the builds, not flimsy but would appear so, in other words, a little on the "thin" side.
The Dragon - This was fantastic. It matches the menace, exceeds the manoeuvrability and has a sturdier look than the other two builds.
Having bought this for parts, the Dragon now sits on display so I'm happy with this purchase even if it's not the end result I planned. "

The thing you always wanted, but didn't know...
" The Brick Separator does exactly what it's meant to do, it separates bricks!
You can separate bricks from the top or underneath at one end whilst the other end is useful when it's not quite possible to separate them otherwise.
No more teeth marks, broken pieces or injuries, this is easy to use for any age and should be an essential tool for all fans of Lego, particularly those who like to take their creations apart often.
As others have said, these are available in some sets, so rather than purchase it directly, I'd buy it with one of them (that's what I did - I stumbled on to this little tool and was pleasantly surprised at how efficient it is) "
