Nice little build
" I picked this set up day after New Year's, and it was a nice colorful addition to my collection. The colors are very nice, with the yellow and dark blue. It has hinges to close it up as a cottage or open to access the interior.
The main build is the best, it uses all the parts. The other two, don't use as much. I built all three and then rebuilt it as the main model. I think its supposed to be a small snack shop on the beach. There is a cash register and some money inside. Its mostly empty inside, with just a couple accessories, like jars and I think a space heater type thing.
Its kind of deceiving on the box, its displayed with the set opened up, making it look much larger than it is. Its half the size if closed up.
I also had a lot of noticably lighter colored dark blue roof bricks. Several are quite a bit lighter blue than the rest. I think this happens a lot with the deeper, darker colors.
I like the sea side settings and this one goes well with my others.

Nice Modular
" I had anticipated this set from when it was first debuted, and wanted one to add to my collection of official sets and my own modular creations.
It has a lot of nice techniques in its design, using a lot of parts I haven't seen or used before. Mostly from other lines of sets that I wouldn't normally want to have. I appreciate that, it adds to my ideas for my own designs.
I have all the modulars from the Fire Brigade to this one. I have to say though, this is the first modular set that I wanted to modify right from the start. I think it could of been quite a bit larger, balancing interior parts with exterior more evenly. There is a lot of empty space in the back to me.
I like my modulars to make real design sense, and this one has a lot of strange choices. One example, the center part, behind the fire escape detail is a different color from the buildings on either side, for no logical reason other than to add more colors. Another is the stairs up take up a lot of space and are open to the interior of the barbershop...hard to get in there, even though they can be folded out of the way.
Nice with no stickers, all printed parts and quite a few nice ones, even a mirror piece. Colors can hit or miss, and the blues miss with me, the other colors used are OK.
I can recommend this set to anyone wanting all the modulars in their own collection. "

Nice design truck
" Of all the 2015 new City sets, I wanted to get this truck. Its a great little design, and fairly realistic style. The size is spot on, and it has a lot of playability. The car is just so-so, but does the job. Nice to see it has operable doors, though they really are for show only, since the windscreen blocks most of the opening.
I would of loved if it came with a 3rd minifig, either as a second tow trucker or car passenger.
The scale is great, the kids love it. Lots of stickers to apply, not my favorite, but I guess its too much to ask for large printed parts.
I recommend!

Great Set
" I got the Palace Cinema to add to my other modular buildings, and it makes an excellent corner building. There are lots of building techniques I had not done before, and I learned a lot from building it. Its got a nice red base plate that I haven't seen before, to make the theater lobby look like it has red carpet. There are a few mini figures, though I would of liked a few more to fill up the theater seats! The limo for the child star was nice to be included. This was my first set to include stickers, and I am not sure about them, I hope they last, and don't peel off after a while. Some of the parts are printed on the pieces, and I think I prefer that over stickers. I can understand though that that might be a tall order for some of the features, like the movie posters.
I think anyone getting this will love it, especially if you are collecting the modular buildings.
