Value -vs- Price: X-Wing Starfighter
" To start off, I purchased this set for $50.98 (shipping included!) from eBay--what a steal!!! I am aware that this is not the going price, which is $79.99. Value.
The value of this set is decent; four spring-loaded shooters, two stud shooters (the ion cannons), a cool new wing opening function, Luke's best friend, Biggs Darklighter (and Luke, or course), nice detail, and R2-D2/R2-Q2 sits in the proper position--the past X-Wings had them sideways. So points for movie accuracy. The set's overall value is a solid 4 out of 5. I would have liked to see at least the ladder Luke uses to get into the cockpit and a lighsaber/blaster storage compartment, this would have bumped it up to a 5. Price. The price is too high for my taste. The ship, apart from a slight issue with how the hind engine pieces attach, is solid and very detailed, but the price just really stinks. I give it a 3 out of 5 on price. If Lego would have included a ladder (or maintenance cart) and on-ship weapons storage, it would have made it up to perhaps a 5. If you are wanting an original X-Wing or just want to build your starship fleet, then get it! It is a great set and a ton of fun. But try to find it on sale. Thanks for reading! "

" This must be my favorite starship out of my entire Lego star fleet!!! I was so excited to open and put together this on my Birthday! This set includes four minifigs: Stormtrooper, Y-Wing Pilot, Admiral Raddus, Moroff, and a very cool astromech. Also, it includes a maintenance cart, which just makes this set even better. Value is GREAT! Bomb drop function, maintenance cart, the exclusive to this set Moroff, and the astromech really make this set. I give this set a strong 5 out of 5 on value. Price: Excellent! It is actually a bit under-priced. Going by the standard 0.10 cents per piece (this set having 691), it should be $69.10, or $69.99, but it's not (thank you, Lego!).
So I give this set a very strong 5 out of 5. Structure wise, no problems. I had fun building and encountered no difficulties. This set is detailed and looks fantastic on display. If you have not gotten this ship already, PLEASE GET IT! Unless you just hate the Y-Wing or Star Wars, there is no reason not to! This is an iconic ship, and Lego really "hit the nail on the head" with this set. Great job, Lego. Thanks for reading. "

" I was so overjoyed when I saw this set! Bossk, Dengar, 4-LOM, and IG-88 (thanks, Lego!)!!! I bought this set at Walmart (I can't remember if it was on sale or not), and I don't regret it!
This set comes with three minifigs, one figure, and a speeder bike. Value: 5 out of 5! Four very iconic bounty hunters all in one set, WORTH IT! Price, just your normal battle pack price. The last time these characters were in a Lego set, was the Super Star Destroyer #10221--it didn't even come with 4-LOM! This set gets 5 out of 5 price wise. If I could rate this set 10 stars, I would give it 11! Lego, you really outdid yourself. Thanks for reading. "

" I bought this set on sale at Walmart for like $9. This set normally goes for $14.99. This set is unlike a lot of other battle packs because it includes two identical clone troopers and two Jedi--it's not one of those battle packs that comes with four different minifigs (thanks, Lego!).
Value wise, definitely worth it for the clones and Jedi. I will say that I do not like the vehicle that it comes with, I would have liked an actual speeder bike instead of that thing. I give it a 4 out of 5 on value. Price is just your generic battle pack price, so I give it a 4 out of 5 (I will not go into rather or not battle packs are overpriced). If you're building a clone army or just want to add some Jedi to your collection, or both, get it! Thanks for reading "

" This will be brief. I bought this set on sale at Walmart for I think $9. The real price of this set is $14.99. Value, I would say the two Jawas, the Tusken Raider, and the astromech make this set worth it. I give it a 4 out of 5 on value. Price is that of a normal battle pack. Although it includes 97 pieces and goes for $15, but the selection of minifigs and the astromech make it worth while. I give it a 5 out of 5 on price (I will not debate rather or not battle packs are overpriced). If you want some Jawas without buying the Sand Crawler, get this set. Thanks for reading.

" I bought this set at Walmart on sale for, if I remember correctly, $20. This set goes for an ever so slightly high price of $29.99, but I think it's worth it.
This set has pretty good Value for what you get. This set includes Luke in his tanktop, Yoda, and muddy R2-D2; Luke and muddy R2-D2 being the rarest minifigs here. Along with a snake and a ton of play functions! I give it a 5 out of 5 on value. Price: worth the extra $5. This set makes up for the price with lots of play functions and the muddy R2, which is exclusive to this set--for now, at least. I give this set a 5 out of 5 on price, it's really more of a 4 and half, but I don't do halves on here. If you've been eyeing this set or just love rare minifigs, just buy it, you won't regret it. The muddy R2 alone gives this set an edge. And if it happens to be on sale, buy a few and sell them in the future. Thanks for reading. "

" I bought this set on sale at Walmart for... *Drum-roll* for $30.00! But the actual price is $69.99, and you get 519 pieces; it should have been $49.99... Lets talk Value now.
This set comes with four minifigs: an Imperial Pilot, Han Solo, Tobias Beckett in disguise, and a Mimban Stormtrooper. No complaints here. But the Imperial TIE Fighter is just that, the Imperial TIE Fighter, it doesn't even include a maintenance cart... That aside, the set is very sturdy and quit detailed, no structural problems or issues with assembly. I give it a 3 out of 5 on value.
Price: just awful... $70 for a starship with no maintenance cart or cool play functions. The set is overpriced and kinda boring. I give it a 2 out of 5 on price ): If you find the set on sale or just really want a TIE Fighter, then buy it. " This is my favorite $25 Lego set in my collection!
I saw this set and just had to buy it! You would be crazy not to. This set doesn't really need a review, but I will give you one anyway. The Value of this set comes from the scene itself and the excellent minifigs: Darth Vader, his damaged other, and Emperor Palpatine, plus three medical droids. Even if this set was utter garbage design wise, it would still be worth getting just for the minifigs. But the set has some cool play functions, too: a rotting table, helmet placer, and the force function that allows Vader to destroy the medical droids. I give this set a 5 out of 5 on value. Price wise, WORTH EVERY PENNY! Lego really under priced this set and outdid themselves (thank you, Lego!), but I'm not complaining! You get 282 pieces for $25, so yeah, worth it. There are sets with fewer pieces and higher price tags *cough* *Hoth Medical Chamber*

" I bought this set at my local Walmart on sale for $21.00; what a deal! But lets discus the Value of this set first.
First off, this set includes some very nice minifigs: Leia, Luke, a 2-1B medical droid, and an FX-7 medical droid. Bacta Tank Luke being the rarest of these minifigs. This set also includes three exam areas: a bed, an exam table/bed, and the famous Bacta Tank. As far as Value, I give it a 5 out of 5, mostly because of the rare Luke Skywalker, 2-1B medical droid, and the three different exam areas. This set also has a pretty good build, but something to lock the set closed would have been nice, but that's just a nitpick.
Now for the best part: Price! The price of this set is $29.99, and you get 255 pieces; the set should really be $24.99, but what can you do. So I give it a 4 out of 5. Some people complain about the price, but I have to conclude that the value of this set slightly outweighs the price. Value wins!
