"I really enjoyed this set because of its simplicity. The last few Architecture series releases had been fairly complex, like the Trevi Fountain. While I enjoyed that extra challenge, I like seeing the series release a simpler set that throws back to its earlier sets. Though easy, there's unique pieces and combinations in the Lincoln Memorial that keeps it interesting. It's a quick build and one that younger enthusiasts would likely enjoy."
"The set was very creative in its details, and adds a nice splash of color to the mostly beige, black, and white of the Architecture series. Overall, the build was about average with the base having more detail than one would expect. The only part that I found to be a pain are the flag poles, as they are not all going to be exactly straight up and line up as pretty as in the pictures. The design itself features very clean lines, but the flag poles give it an almost messy look when put in, but I'm also a stickler for those kinds of details. Overall, it's a beautiful set and would say it's one of the most pretty ones to come out recently."
"I had been looking forward to this set coming out since it was initially announced, and I must say, it doesn't disappoint. It is absolutely beautiful in design and the level of detail is fantastic.
Compared to the other landmark sets that have come out, this one is by far my favorite since the Statue of Liberty set, mainly because it did not feel like I was doing the same thing over and over again like with Tower Bridge. Something is always a little bit different with each section, so I didn't find myself getting bored and having to push myself to finish up. It did require a close eye on detail, though, as it was easy to overlook some pieces, and on some pages of the instruction booklets the beige and grey pieces looked the same and I put the wrong one down. The brick separator tool that comes with it will become your best friend.
The set is much bigger than I anticipated and it looks great with all of my other sets. Overall, I would highly suggest it, despite the steep price. It took me about three days to build and I loved every second of it. It definitely helped that they numbered the bags of bricks with the instruction booklet they would be used in, as there are four booklets with this set. If you're a relatively advanced set builder, you will love this."
"I was a little put off by the initial price, as it's a little steep for my taste. The iPhone snaps very easily into the case, and one feature that I like is that the bottom is open so it can fit most chargers without having to take the case off. If you tend to keep your phone in your pocket, I would suggest putting some smooth bricks on the back, otherwise it's a total pain to keep pulling in and out. I'm happy with the case for the most part, but it definitely has its flaws."
"I just finished the set and I must say it was a bigger challenge than anticipated. While the set looks simple on the box, there are many small pieces that give this a fun level of detail. I only gave this set a 4:5 because once the base is complete, building the body of the tower gets a little monotonous after awhile. Plus, with all of the pieces being the same color, it's easy to overlook some details and make simple mistakes. While not as complicated as the Imperial Hotel or Falling Water, it is more challenging than the basic Empire State Building and Willis/Sears Tower sets. The Leaning Tower of Pisa is a nice addition to the Architecture series, though, as it shows off a style that has not been featured before in the theme. Overall, I would recommend this to avid collectors and novice builders alike."
"This is one of my favorite places by Frank Lloyd Wright and was so excited when Lego announced that it would be the next set in the Architecture series. Like the other FLW sets, there is great attention to detail in this set and when all completed, it looks fantastic!
The only reason I didn't give it a 5/5 for play experience is because it does get a little monotonous in some sections and I found myself getting a little board building the same little sections over and over again. Plus, this one makes great use of the tiniest bricks, so your finger tips may hurt by the end. But it was all worth it and this has quickly become one of my favorites in the series. Well worth the price."
"Just finished putting together this set and it looks great. With a relatively square shape with curved elements, the Villa Savoy definitely sticks out compared to the other detailed Architect series house. It was a fun build, but since the majority of the set is white and features the thinner bricks, it required an eye for detail, as it was easy to miss a piece here or there and place it in the wrong spot. Thankfully the set came with a brick separator that came in quite handy a few times. Since it used the smaller pieces, my fingers were definitely hurting by the end from snapping them into place. Overall I am very pleased with this set and is a great addition to the Architecture series."
"This might be one of the most challenging sets in the Architecture series yet (I'm not including the Frank Lloyd Wright houses). The base uses the thin bricks to give it more of that stone look, and it looks great. I messed up a couple of times wanting to make the distribution of the different stone colored bricks more symmetrical. The use of the bricks in unique ways to bring out the unique details on Sungnyemun is amazing. Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase and feel it's well worth the money."
"This latest addition to the Architecture series is absolutely wonderful. A good level of detail, given the scale, with just a bit of extra challenge compared to the other towers in the set. Overall it's a really fun build and looks great with the rest of the sets in the theme."
