A Great Addition!
" Upon seeing all of the new Kingdoms sets, I decided a good starter set to get was Outpost Attack. Boy was I right!
The Minifigs
The minifigs in this set are what you would expect. We get a 'good' archer, a 'good' spear-man, and an 'evil' spear-man. We also get a few extra weapons in the tower along with a couple 'evil' shields that actually look quite nice.
The Build
Outpost Attack has a simple but fun build. The techniques used in the outpost tower will be familiar to anyone who has made a Lego castle before, as it gains height quickly. There is a nice mix of light/dark gray, along with some red accents. Overall the tower is small but great looking.
The 'evil' catapult is also quite nice. Rather than normal wagon wheels, it uses large round bricks for the wheels, and this leads to nice and smooth rolling. Also, the wheels are cleverly decorated with cheese slopes, making an interesting design I have never seen put into an official set.
Playability
The tower's knock-out-able wall works like a charm! The catapult's ammo (round bricks with round plates on the top/bottom) are heavy enough to knock it out easily, and its not too hard to hit the wall with the catapult shots. This was very well designed, and for a smaller set we get a fair amount of fun here. As mentioned before, the catapult rolls smooth (best on carpet), but most importantly it fires nicely!
Overall Thoughts
For one of the smaller sets in the Kingdom's line, this set packs a lot of fun. The tower wall and catapult were made for each other, and you get both in one package. I guess my only real complaint is that it could have used another 'evil' guy, that poor lone guy we get is outnumbered! Ah well, at least he has a giant catapult and a tower with a flimsy wall to fire at.

A Stunning Model
" Occasionally, LEGO makes a set that is so solid and smooth that it ceases to look like an actual LEGO Model. The Emerald Night is no exception.
The build is straight forward, not too easy and still manageable for most ages. The new magnets work surprisingly well, considered they are covered by plastic (for safety reasons I believe).
The elements in this set are terrific. Lots of plates and tons of curved slope pieces that make the train extremely smooth around the edges. These pieces give the Emerald Night its curvy, solid look.
The minifigs are sparse (only 3) but they are still nice, and you get luggage for the train's one passenger at least.
All in all the set is extremely detailed and solid, but in the end it makes the train seem small for the money and perhaps not as playable. But for a model, at least, the Emerald Night is outstanding.

Decent
" This car isn't outstanding, but for a small set it is quite solid and offers some alternate builds. Some good parts too if you're looking for green.

Just get it already!
" I waited way too long to pick this one up.
The piece count is great for the price, and there are 3 models to build. While I have not built the other two, they look terrific, but for now i'll focus on the convertible.
This is perhaps the most solid automobile lego has made since Model Team's Giant Truck. The doors are solid, (even have door pockets), the roof is solid, and convertible mechanism works wonderfully, and the wheels are nice and big.
The car is solid and a terrific build, don't wait to pick this up!

Wow...
" Ok so this set's high price made me hold off on buying it, but I am quite glad I picked it up.
All the hyping and raving over this set is not only true but underestimating. I cannot begin to explain what a joy this set is to build. The entire construction is fun and educational. There is an amazing amount of detail here, and this is done through the use of some terrific parts and colors. The bricks alone are worth the price let alone the fantastic model they can create.
Best LEGO set of all time?
Well, if not, I'd say it comes close...

 LEGO Castle: Troll Battle Wheel
LEGO Castle: Troll Battle Wheel
The Troll Battle Wheel rolls, shoots and crushes everything in its way! The knights of LEGO Castle have never faced anything like the gigantic troll battle wheel and its hidden rapid-fire cannon. Can the knights' catapult and barricade trap stop it, or will the trolls roll and smash their way to victory? Fire the Troll Battle Wheel's cannon and launch the knight's catapult! Use the handle on the wheel to roll it fowards and backwards! Troll Battle Wheel stands over 7" tall and 5" wide! Includes 3 troll warriors and 3 knights!

Excellent Buy
" I picked this set up on sale and I must say it is well worth the money even at MSRP.
The build is somewhat tedious, as you can imagine. However, building the firing mechanism was terrific and the design is ingenious. I later used design techniques from this set to make a pistol!
The minifigs are nice though nothing new, but the battle wheel is the main attraction here. It rolls smooth and huge on a carpet and is a terrific overall addition to any castle collection!

Decent Defender
" The minifigs make this worth it, as you get two trolls and a dwarf (my favorites of the new castle line)..
The spinner blades work very well on carpet, I just wish the other wheels had a gray piece on them for a sense of symmetry but that's just nit-picking.
As you would expect, it goes great with the dwarve's mine, i recommend it.

Nice set for $20
" For 20 bucks, you really are getting a nice set.
To start, you get 3 minifigs and a sand green giant troll (better looking than the dwarve's mine version i think)...
Also, the firing mechanism works quite well and the design of the troll pulling the wagon and being lead by a piece of chicken is hilarious and accurately portrayed.
All in all, this is one of the better $20 sets i've ever encountered, especially if you like castle.
Hope this helps.. happy building "

So Very Good!
" I was hesitant about this one for a long time, mostly because of the price tag. Finally, after an employee at a LEGO store told me the set will not be around much longer, I decided to pick it up.
The build is fantastic. You get to see exactly how one motor will end up controlling all four legs and the head simultaneously. The legs are a bit repetitive, however the rest of the build is simply a joy.
The playability here is phenomenal. The walking (if built carefully) is smooth and extremely movie accurate. Throw in the Luke Skywalker figure on a rope or use a Snowspeeder to take this thing down, or just watch it smash everything in its path!
I know its expensive, but I can only say if built correctly it is worth every penny and is a more than necessary addition to any collection missing an AT-AT.
Happy Building! "

Hand Saver!
" I can't tell you how great these things are. I constantly take apart and rebuild sets, and taking apart big sets can be really rough on the hands. Pulling apart 1x2 plates is a cinch with these! I've had two of these for >10 years and they still work perfectly.
Do yourself a favor and get 2, trust me it makes things even easier especially with two small plates.
Happy *Reverse* Building! "
