A Perfect Collectors Piece
" What a set! Slave I is my favorite ship in the Star Wars universe and it is flawlessly represented here in brick form. I tip my hat to the designer of the model, Hans Burkhard Schlömer.
This set is primarily for collectors and thus, is not the most suitable for children. That said, it still contains some pretty cool play features. The angles and shapes on this ship are difficult to pull off in LEGO form and they are captured here very well. The detail and the rare colors included make the build very fun and new. The scale of the set is also pretty decent for minifigure interaction, unlike some other UCS sets. This set allows you to have Boba Fett pilot the ship as well as store Han Solo in the cargo hold.
The minifigures included are flawless. We have never had a more detailed LEGO Boba Fett figure. I was very surprised to see an Imperial Stormtrooper included, I don't see this as necessary but certainly a good bonus!
PROS:
-Masterfully designed for accuracy
-Includes many rare colors
-Good size for UCS
-Highly detailed minifigures
-Is Slave I
CONS: (but not really)
-Not many play features (but really, this is a collectors set so who cares)
CONCLUSION:
A great addition to your collection but not a must have for the everyday buyer. You will not be disappointed at all in the build or design of this model. it is very different and unique. Given that this is a collectors piece there is not much to talk about apart from aesthetics and structure but it does its job terrifically well!

A Perfect LEGO Set!
" This set is superb! The set looks good from all angles and is infinitely better than the last version!
This set was a pretty fun build. You can really tell that it is a stable and solid set as you build it. This set uses lots of technic pieces that help make it playable and also attractive! LEGO did an amazing job making this Star Destroyer a play-set as well as a display set. The exterior is so detailed and the proportions are commendable.
The playability of this set is stunning. Having the rotating cannons on the side is so fun and interactive, yet also very streamline. It has a cool interior that has many nods to the movies as well as original details. I especially like the hidden handle that allows you to pick the ship up with ease. The handle is situated at the very center of gravity and is very satisfying just to pick up. This set packs so much value it is crazy.
The minifigures are great, we got just the right amount and they are all so full of detail.
PROS:
-Masterfully designed to be detailed sturdy
-Play features are everywhere
-Nostalgic designs and forms
-Great minifigures
-looks good from all angles
-Great for the price
CONS: (but not really)
-Lots of stickers (very excusable)
CONCLUSION:
This set is fun and good looking. It is loaded with detail for collectors and play features for kids. Anyone who is a fan of Star Wars LEGO should have this set! This is easily one of my favorite LEGO sets of all time.

Again? ...Ok? ...Why?
" Right off the bat I want to say that the set itself and its design is absolutely fantastic. I love the accuracy to the model we see on screen as well as the highly detailed figures.
The big issues here concern the fact that we JUST got one of these sets, and of course, the price. I am honestly perplexed by this price. It makes no sense to me. I was so reluctant to buy this set at normal retail price. This set feels like a test to see just how much someone will pay for a set. Also, this set came out of nowhere. Why do we need another Sith Infiltrator? We JUST got one. I am not denying that this version is the best we have gotten because it is, this set blew me away with its design. It's just too soon for another one of these.
Minifigures are pretty good. Watto was a nice inclusion. Darth Maul is pretty disappointing. His head printing has this awful, smile that makes him seem more like a cartoon than an actual minifigure representation of the character. There are much better ways to acquire the minifigures in this set.
PROS:
-Set design is superb
-Aesthetically pleasing and accurate to source material
-Fun play features
-good size
CONS:
-Horribly overpriced
-WE JUST GOT A SITH INFILTRATOR,
-Darth Maul minifigure has a silly head print
CONCLUSION:
This set is pretty great as far as looks and functionality. The fact that we just got a Sith Infiltrator doesn't really work against this one, it just seems like a better idea to spend the time and resources on Original Trilogy sets and not rehashing sets we do not need. The one thing that gets this set a bad review from me is the price. Normally a poorly priced LEGO set is excusable, ESPECIALLY if it at least looks good (which this one does) but the price is so unbelievably bad that I can't recommend that you pick this set up.

Great Value, Stunning Figures, THE BUILD THOUGH...
" This set is just the right balance of nostalgic and new designs. I appreciate that we finally have an X-Wing based on the Ralph McQuarrie concept art from the 70's.
I could go on forever about the interesting design choices of this vehicle but what I really want to emphasize is the nature of the build. Building this set surprised me time and time again. The techniques are very different and satisfying. You really can't know how truly fun this is to build until you've done it yourself! whether you are a fan of Star Wars or LEGO in general, this set is so much fun!
The minifigures in this set are unbelievably well printed and the helmets very well sculpted. The inclusion of Poe Dameron and BB-8 is quite a draw and certainly adds to the value of the set a great deal.
PROS:
-THE BUILD
-Amazing minifigures
-Play features are numerous and very fun
-Accessories included are small and subtle but make this feel more like a play-set rather than just a vehicle.
CONS:
-The LEGO group didn't quite get the wings right as many have pointed out. This does not detract from the model however.
-Lots of stickers
CONCLUSION:
This set is beautiful, it has great minifigures and it is so fun to build. This set is great for collectors and kids. The play value is what you'd expect from an X-Wing but that really isn't a negative!

Not LEGO's Fault.
" This set is well designed and is an impressive brick-built representation of the vehicle we see on screen. The issue here is that the on-screen model made by Disney is not all that lovely to begin with.
The LEGO group did a great job of making this vehicle as accurate as possible to the original material as well as integrating play features that don't necessarily detract from the overall aesthetic of the thing. This is truly commendable.
The minifigures included are fascinating to say the least. I am having trouble getting used to the new snowtrooper look as I was such a fan of the original design. Regardless of overall design, the printing on these figures is phenomenal. I especially love the inclusion of the symbols on the chest plate taken from Ralph McQuarrie concept art.
PROS:
-Accurate to source material
-Highly detailed minifigures
-Great price
CONS:
-Not a fun build
-While the price-per-piece is good, the set itself is very compact making the final product seem small for the price and thus underwhelming.
-lots of stickers
-overuse of stud-shooters
CONCLUSION:
LEGO did a great job depicting the source material and added play features that didn't ruin the set. The play features are pretty average and stud-shooters are being abused a bit. It isn't a must have unfortunately but it is not the fault of the LEGO group.

Best Value in the Wave!
" The First Order Transporter is a fun build and the best set for your kids! This set is absolutely LOADED with fun features and fantastic figures. This was the last set in the wave that I expected to give a 5/5. The Transporter itself has an interesting design that was clearly inspired by the military landing craft of WWII. This set is so simplistic in it's appearance and blows all other Force Awakens sets out of the water with its play features!
The minifigure selection is perfect. Included in the set is our mysterious villain, Captain Phasma. The main reason for my praising of this selection is that there is practically a battlepack included. We get two members of the Resistance as well as four First Order Troops. Having members from both opposing parties makes this set an adventure in itself, making this a great set for kids.
PROS:
-This LEGO set has fun and very interactive play features and moving parts making it the most fun set in the wave to play with.
-Minifigures included are highly detailed and most importantly, of two different factions.
-The wheels on the bottom are well hidden and allow for easy maneuverability.
-Not a ton of stickers
CONS:
-Slightly overpriced
-Lego set is a little stubby compared to the longer model seen on screen.
CONCLUSION:
This set should be seen as a very expensive battlepack. It includes at least two figures from two factions and provides great and numerous play features that are fun to play with over and over again. I cannot stress enough how perfect this set is for your children!

Did I mention HORRIBLE PRICE?
" This set is so darn cool and is the best Tie Fighter produced by the LEGO group to date but the huge price makes it so hard to recommend to ANYBODY.
I love the reversed colors on these new First Order Tie Fighters. The build is phenomenal. I was very curious how the LEGO group was going to attach the wings so that part of the build was quite fascinating to me. The Tie pilots are my favorite first order infantry figures in this wave. They are so cool with their molded hose pieces from the torso to the helmets.
I was surprised to learn that the new dome pieces were molded in transparent red! Also the inclusion of minifigure roller-skate pieces as details for the wings was a fun discovery as well!
PROS:
-Fun and interesting build
-Superb design and proportions
-Great minifigures
-Well-hidden spring loaded missiles
-Easy to move figures in and out of the cockpits
-Very "WHOOOSH-able"
CONS:
-Overpriced
-Not really any play features
-Overpriced
-Very overpriced
-Overpriced
CONCLUSION:
Buy this set if you are a collector or a big star wars fan, otherwise, don't buy this set. I am sorry LEGO, I love you and this set is beautiful and has spectacular minifigures, you did a great job, but the price you ask is way too much.

Great Figures, Decent Price, AMAZING DESIGN.
" This ship may not look all that practical but it sure is a cool design! The build for this LEGO set surprised me in many ways. There isn't a great play feature to this model, nor is the play value very good. I'd say the main reason you will want this set is for its intriguing design and INCREDIBLE minifigures.
Kylo Ren is the big exclusive in this set and was much better than I had expected. The helmet included is way to big and ugly. luckily, there is a hood included and a printed mask on the minifigure head. This saved the figure for me. The promotional images all showed the figure with that ugly helmet on, but I was so relieved to learn that it is only optional.
General Hux and the rest of the figures are flawless (YES, even the controversial First Order Crew.)
The play feature on the set allows you to extend and lower the wings with knobs on either side. Nothing special but its something. You can also lower a boarding ramp but (like all boarding ramps in star wars sets) it is more of just the idea of a boarding ramp and not one that actually works.
PROS:
-The ship's design is unique and awesome.
-The minifigures are spectacular and well printed.
-The spring loaded missiles are well-concealed.
-The build is fun and assures stability during play
-Surprisingly "WHOOOSH-able!"
CONS:
-Play features and overall play value could be better and thus, I cannot recommend this to children looking for play.
-Slightly overpriced but nothing serious.
CONCLUSION:
I cannot recommend this for younger kids but it's great set for collectors and offers some of the best minifigures in this wave as well as one of the most unique ship designs!

The Same but Different... AND BETTER!
" When first I saw the pictures for this set, I was a little disappointed that LEGO stuck with the same general design of the Falcon produced years before. I myself did not have the earlier model in my collection so this was certainly a welcome addition regardless.
The first 10 minutes of building this set I was pleasantly surprised by the build and later, the detail. This is a far superior model in comparison to its previous version. The minifigures are splendid and very numerous. The earthy colors add a very aged look to the falcon and integrate it with the force awakens line flawlessly.
There have been many changes to the model since its last iteration, but the best two alterations are the detailed interior and the front mandibles. The front mandibles on the last falcon were appalling. They were tiny things that had no continuity to the body of the ship and made the entire model look ridiculous. This Falcon feels fresh and familiar simultaneously.
PROS:
-Almost the entire main cast of protagonists are included in the set.
-Very accurate Aesthetically to the Falcon in the film
-Updated interior makes for better play and has unique pieces
-The spring loaded shooters are very well concealed in the mandibles
-Superior in every way to the previous iteration
-Very "WHOOOSH-able!"
CONS:
-Still has some minor issues carried over from the previous Falcon such as: the landing gear being constantly deployed and the cockpit being a little fragile.
-Difficult to find bad things to talk about where this product is concerned!
CONCLUSION:
I cannot stress enough how fun this model is and how vastly improved it is from the last Falcon. Its hard for me to say if this is worth the money if you already have the previous one, but having seen reviews of that set I know this one is much better. This is well worth the slightly disappointing price in my opinion. A great set for kids and adults!

Fun, Good Value, Looks...
" When I first saw the leaked pictures of this set I was a little disappointed. The overly bulky, inelegant nature of the LEGO version is nowhere near as aesthetically pleasing as the slick original Disney model seen in the trailer.
Designers need room to accommodate play features in a set and sometimes the overall look a set needs to be slightly compromised due to these restrictions. Having built it and played with the features, I understand (to a degree) why this LEGO set looked so bulky.
I believe that this speeder should have been a small part of a larger set so that the play feature could be used somewhere else and not affect the accuracy of the speeder model.
PROS:
-The set includes a main character from the film at a low price point.
-The primary play feature in this set (regardless of the accuracy it may or may not have to the film) is very simple and fun.
-The figures are well detailed.
-There is satisfactory attention to detail in the design of the speeder.
-Very "WOOOSH-able"
-Price is very good.
CONS:
-The overall size and scale of this set in relation to the minifigures is atrocious.
-The whole front section of the speeder is inconsistent with the rest of the vehicle and looks very lazily designed.
-Minifigure accessories are a little silly.
IN CONCLUSION:
This is a fun set to build with a great play feature and awesome minifigures. It falls short in the looks department, which bothers me as a collector and huge LEGO fan, but this set is great for kids who want a fun set to play with!
