Spend Your Money on Something Else...
" I've been a fan of Lego Star Wars from the very beginning, and must say that this is among the most disappointing sets ever released. The minifigures are great (as is typical for the Star Wars theme), but the build and finished model seem VERY incomplete.
At the very least, this set should have included a "removable" AT-ST head (as seen in the film). Instead we're left with a model that seems unfinished and looks rather silly on display. If you're interested in the minifigures, I recommend acquiring them elsewhere and saving your money for a far better set (such as the new UCS Millennium Falcon!).
Pros:
Cool minifigures
Clever "walking" feature
Cons:
Model seems incomplete
Unattractive elevator accessory

BEST Set of the Year
" To say that I am thoroughly impressed with this set would be a definite understatement! The Tower of Orthanc is the crowning jewel of any Lego collection, especially for those who collect the Lord of the Rings line. The build itself is very sturdy and includes a TON of fun little details and playable features. I feel that the set could have benefitted from a couple more minifigures (such as some of Saruman's "henchmen" orcs, or even a few wargs), but I'm very happy with the minifigure selection as it is. The build was quite long, but not overly difficult. It would still be fairly easy for an intermediate Lego builder of any age to complete over the course of a few days.
My only hope is that this set is successful enough to warrant the creation of a similar sized (or bigger!!) model of Minas Tirith! "

A perfect small-sized set for The Hobbit
" I have to start by emphasizing how much I've enjoyed the Lord of the Rings sets, and have been looking forward to sets from The Hobbit! Middle-earth Lego sets have been on my most-wanted list for a long time, and it's so great to finally have them.
"Riddles for the Ring" is the first set that I've purchased from The Hobbit theme, and it's a fantastic introductory set. It is very easy to build (took me about 15 minutes) and it's a great representation of an iconic scene from the book and movie. I really appreciated that Gollum's face has different printing than his incarnation in Shelob Attacks; I hope we get another version of him as Smeagol someday, with a happy expression. The Bilbo minifigure is likewise very nice; currently this is the least expensive way to get the version of Bilbo with his red jacket.
Overall, a very nice little set! It's great to see Lego giving us better value with The Hobbit wave in terms of cost per brick, too. This set has 105 pieces, which means less than $0.10 per brick.
Here are my ratings:
Minifigures: 10/10
Build: 8/10
Playability: 10/10
Pieces: 9/10
Value for the Money: 10/10
Overall: 47/50

Excellent Marvel Set!!!
" As soon as I saw the X-Men set, I knew that it would be the must-have set from the first Marvel wave. I LOVE that it includes Deadpool as well, which is hopefully a good sign for future secondary Marvel characters to become minifigures.
This set is an extremely good value; 3 fantastic minifigures, a motorcycle, and a well-designed helicopter make it worth every penny. Buy it now! "
