" When it comes to playability this set knocks it out the park, this set contains a little guy called Lego Mario who interacts with specific colours, striped tiles and specific movements to show various faces and sound effects, the execution of Mario himself is excellent in my opinion. However the rest of this set feels quite linear in comparison and not worth the high price. Now I know the price is this high because of Mario himself and how the set is supposed to be a tutorial to all his functions which I believe it does perfectly, but as a fan who doesn’t care for the tutorial aspect and would much rather learn his various reactions alone a option to buy him separately would have been appreciated. I will say thou that the specific builds (junior, goomba, flag pole, pipe etc) are really well made and do make up for the less interesting aspects of this. In conclusion, Lego Mario itself is a amazing piece of tech trapped in a set with boring contents making me really wish a option to buy him separate was available. "

" I purchased this set mainly for the simple yet good looking design of king boo, which I do believe steals the show in this set. The other enemies this set contains (goomba and swoop) are also really faithful reactions of their video game counter parts and after building this set I can say that they are also standouts of this build. The main play set has a nice colour scheme to it which I believe fits the haunted ghost aesthetic really well, and the spiders and cobwebs are nice touches that really bring the build together, unfortunately this sets main play gimmick (which involves raising king boo up and out off a building to stamp on his back) is flawed, you’re supposed to bash Mario against the swoops to raise him up but upon doing so the swoops will fall of the build and don’t appear to be as secure as they were in the apps tutorial video, another complaint is that doing this gently to try not to break it results in a lot of time wasted, which when playing courses means that I will waste a lot of my time picking up around twelve coins when I could have collected a lot more coins elsewhere, and even thou I like the goombas design I believe they don’t fit the theme of the set and enemies such as boos (Mario ghosts) would have fit in better. But overall the set is a nice looking build with great enemies and theming slightly let down by a flawed gimmick. "

" In my opinion these blind bags are one of if not the best product to emerge from this wave of Lego super mario. The value for money is excellent as for a relatively cheap price you get a aesthetically pleasing build with a fun play feature involving the main gimmick (Lego mario). It’s also easy to build which I think makes sense given the small structure and cheap price. However a few of the enemies backgrounds are a bit boring to me (buzzy beetle and fuzzy) I know what they are attempting to represent but to me they still come across as bland. However these are just nitpicks and overall I would say the products’s are all excellent little sets with lots of personality and charm for the cheap price. "
