Stunning Display Piece
" And an awesome build. Really enjoyed each section, especially the descent stage - lots of detail (for the scale), hidden areas, clever techniques.
Would have liked a bit more in the ascent stage if I had to be picky, and while the stickers are higher quality than normal, I still really prefer printed parts (such as the Saturn V had).
However in saying that, it is an awesome addition to my collection, and is currently in pride-of-place in my office. And yes, it does get handled and played with - it is Lego after all! "

Favourite Set
" This is unquestionably my favourite set. Not because it is the latest one I've assembled, or even the most complicated (the BWE and the 42009 crane both were much more intricate), but because it is an iconic vehicle and the Lego model has done it great justice.
The scale is superb - the model is very impressive and imposing. While fiddly to assemble in some areas, once each module was completed it became very stable and solid. I've dropped parts of it once (demonstrating the stages of the rocket), and it stayed together exceptionally well, few bits coming loose, but 'breaking' only really at the designed separation points.
There are no stickers. Every piece with detail is printed directly onto the piece, and I really like that. Models at (or above) this price point should never have a sticker sheet, and how this model looks because of it is all the proof you need to say why.
The rocket now sits in pride of place in my office. I can now only hope that the launch tower project (to the same scale) also gets approved. A lunar explorer would also be cool, but of course would not be much at this 1:100 scale. More iconic space vehicles to the same scale would be awesome. "

Quick super villain vehicle build
" This was a fun, quick build. The result is a really stylish villain's car, and I am now keen to get a few more kits for the movie to add to this one.
The haphazard look of the Lego Movie kits didn't inspire me at all, so I am very pleased that the Batman Lego movie kept to clean, stylish designs.
Some clever quirky aspects to this car, such as the method to allow the front axle to be higher to accommodate the oversized front wheels, and the 'over-the-top' front end, complete with penguin beak that is true to the nature of the car's vintage, as well as the supervillain.
Speaking of which, the Penguin mini figure is awesome - love the top hat, the fur scarf, and the head colouring.
The front fenders are a clever use of the hot air balloon sections - you would think these were custom made for this vehicle given just how well they fit the overall vehicle look. "

Bring on more mega builds!
" I loved this build. Especially bag 6, which is a significant number of parts to create the main excavator arm.
My only disappointment was getting to the end of the build- most take too little time, an evening at best, but this model kept going and going.
I have enjoyed more technical models, such as more complicated gearboxes, but the sheer size of this set more than made up for it.
It was worth reading reviews where people have complained about the model not working. I took extra care with all power train components to ensure smooth, non binding operation and the model works perfectly. I'm not sure if the movement completely to scale, I almost expected it to move slower, but still it gives the real feeling of the colossal machine.
It is a rare model when I am sorely tempted to get a second for the B model! "
