A+ set, but short figures should have moving legs
" This series has some really great figures, especially the Jaguar warrior, but given that LEGO now has articulated legs available for short figures I really wish that they would make the switch for all of the short minis. The characters have so much more potential when their legs bend. This series is especially frustrating because two of the short minis have stiff legs while the pug has articulated. I feel like this really hurt the Santa's elf workshop this year too since none of the elves could sit in a chair.

A great set that is close to perfect
" In terms of building experience and fun this is an all time great set, but a couple of shortcomings keep it from being all it could be.
Given that the Harry Potter small figures all have the articulated legs I can't understand why other new sets like this one and the elf house this winter still include non-articulated small figures.
The monkey figure from the old pirate ships sets is a much missed component, as well as the gold coins vs the included gold bars.
Overall a truly great build and packed full of fun spots, especially Red-bead's cabin.
