A Terrific Addition
" Easily one of the neatest looking villains for the Bionicle 2015 collection, Skull Basher has a great assortment of pieces and a neat mechanic with it.
Pros:
1. Great design and shape to the figure, giving a strong impression of power. Indeed, the skeletal appearance is well presented, between the limbs, mask and chest piece.
2. Incredibly neat mechanic for the arms, which works really well. A very unique build is used that one can really appreciate the thought that went into its creation.
3. A really neat infected Mask of Earth, which is a mix of translucent purple and gold. Makes for an excellent addition to ones Mask collection.
4. In general, a great assortment of pieces and an excellent color scheme.
Neutral:
1. The shoulders (in the mechanic area) are not truly held in place and can swivel around, causing the arms to move forwards or backwards, much like the original G1 Toa or Rahkshi.
Cons:
1. Even with the wide feet, the figure can topple over, mainly because it is top heavy, with a mix of its weapons, horns and mechanic.
2. Mask can be knocked off by flipping the character over too quickly because of the horns.
Final Thoughts:
A great model which I would recommend to any fan of Constraction figures. The design is neat, the mechanic is terrific, and the parts are all quite useful.
My one final comment though is concerned with the story of the character: Exactly, what species is Skull Basher or any of the other Skeleton Warriors? They are all as large as Toa, suggesting they are not villagers or even Protectors. Just a question I hope the series will answer... "

Gali's 7 Year Return
" Gali has always been a personal favorite of mine from the Bionicle series, and it is great to see her return after 7 years (last seen in 2008). The new set captures a lot of her classic elements along with many new ones.
Pros:
-Stronger Build
A nice update with the current build system (introduced in Hero Factory) is that the joints are quite strong and can be taken apart and rebuilt quite frequently. This is in contrast to the original parts which sometimes snapped when taken apart.
-The mechanical feature in the arm can swing when you turn the gear, and yet, can hold a pose, something new to the 2015 Bionicles. The mechanism is simple, and yet quite sturdy and does not wear out quickly.
-Launching Mask Function
A fun mechanical feature, especially to launch the included Skull Spider with.
-Includes a Skull Spider.
It is really nice being able to gain an opponent for the heroes to face all the while buying your favorite character. A fight between the two is a wash in Gali's favor, but hey, it is a fun gimmick.
-Great color scheme
Very much a matter of opinion. I think the colors work really well.
-Gold Mask
Kind of neat to be able to get these collectible masks with the figures.
Cons:
-Slight Balance Issues
Gali has some trouble standing when she holds her completed staff. And while using the fins on her feet gives her more foot area, she is somewhat top heavy, and the joints at her hips move when you least expect them to.
-Mask Knocks off easily
So, while the launch feature is fun, the mask does come off quiet easily, especially when one turns the head.
-Lack of Classic Aesthetic
The new arm function is ingenious (hats off to the design department on that!), however, the overall build lacks a lot of the classic Bionicle appearance. Limbs often look flat and lack the detail of cylinders and pistons the old models have. Not to say it's better or worse, the aesthetic is just missing.
-No Spider-Pack
While the Skull Spider is cool, it would be neater if there was a package one could buy which came with 3-7 Spiders to build a swarm.
Conclusion:
Gali, Master of Water is a great addition to ones Constraction Figure collection, capturing a lot of the great elements from her G1 appearance. I would certainly recommend her to any fans of the series.
