Straight track good, Flexible track bad
" Title says it all.
I have bought a great deal of LEGO track in my day. I was skeptical about the switch to RC track, but I have truly learned to love it. The non-conductive rails offer many more layout possibilities than its predecessor.
That being said, I was very optimistic about the Flexible track when it came out, but I still dislike it. It does not work well at all. It does exactly as its name implies, it flexes, moves and derails trains. No big deal, except I can no longer purchase curved RC tracks separately. Worse yet, I cannot purchase straight tracks by themselves.
LEGO, can you please make straight and curved tracks available separetely again? Pretty please? "

Cheaper in the long run.....
" This battery works very well. I have used it for my Emerald Night train and my Cargo Train sets. I've also used said trains to pull 9V rolling stock, like my holiday train. The charge lasts quite some time, and it doesn't fizzle out slowly. When it's dead, it dies almost instantly.
It features a pretty quick charge, and is very user friendly. If you run your trains as often as I do, you will certainly benefit from this battery over time. "

Very fun and kooky set!
" Very cool, and very reminiscent of the movie!
Easy build, just a couple of hours or so.
LEGO did a super job with the detail of this one. The engine, the cars and the minifigs are all spectacular. I love the Yoshi and the piggy-figure! Very playable set, lots of doors, windows and minifigs. Kids will really love this one.
It functions well on 9V and RC tracks as a push-along train, but would be difficult to motorize without adding a custom car to house the motor and related parts.
This set does not include any tracks. It doesn't push well on the flexible tracks, nor does it push well without tracks. Kinda goes all willy nilly without them.
Very fun and cute set overall, recommended! "

Nice train set!
" This one is certainly a hit in my book, I've purchased several copies of this set.
Features a fun, easy build, Just an evening's work gets you a very sharp looking Diesel Locomotive and some nice long rolling stock for your train or city layout.
The 10219 comes with many desireable Maersk blue parts and many good train parts in general. The cab easily lifts off the engine as an assembly in traditional LEGO diesel fashion in order to place the engineer minifig inside. The containers are interchangeable on the flatbed cars, and the container doors open and close so you can place other LEGO bricks inside and transport them down the railway. Nice detail on this one, although I would like to see more printed parts instead of decals.
It performs very well on 9V track and RC track, nice and smooth through the switch tracks. Unfortunately, she doesn't do so well on the flex track though. No tracks are included in the set.
Includes detailed instructions on how to set up a Power Functions motor and remote control. Requires separate purchase of sets 8878, 8879, 8884, 8887 and 88002 if you don't already have them.
Overall, highly recommended for any LEGO fan! "
